There are a few other shows, namely 2-3 Casey Nicholaw shows that I tend to confuse. I wouldn't be surprised if Be More Chill gets a transfer. Soft Power has potential for a Broadway run as well.

Beetlejuice is also transferring to Broadway after it's run in DC this October.

ps Is 'Ink' coming to Broadway? Ink is coming to Broadway, in April 2019. It's a Manhattan Theatre Club production that will be eligible for the Tony's because it will be at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (the MTC's Broadway venue; they also do other productions in a smaller house which is not Tony-eligible).

Was it good the production. I know it got good reviews. But is it a case of don't bite the hands that feed you. Saw Bertie in Matilda

Ink is coming to Broadway Now that does surprise me. Will Americans know what "The Sun" newspaper is, and indeed the whole British tabloid / broadsheet split and industry set-up as it was - as that's critical to understanding the show? I shall follow this with much interest. If you think Americans are going to have a hard time understanding "Ink", just imagine what we'll make of "The Nap", the Richard Bean play about snooker which I believe played in Sheffield a couple of years ago. The same theatre company that's doing "Ink" (Manhattan Theatre Club) is doing "The Nap" as their first production of the 2018-2019 season, opening in September (with what appears to be an all-American cast). MTC seems to have decided to make the theme of their Broadway season "British imports about subjects that most Americans know nothing about". (By the way, I'm an MTC subscriber, so I'll be seeing both shows.)

I am surprised it never went anywhere else in the UK - It was written to be site specific at the Crucible but it would have worked anywhere. It is very English though - lots of Northern accents and snooker not billiards. The last scene involved Jack McConnell having to pot a ball - the tension was immense!

I think you're right. The Internet Broadway Database ( Broadway cast for The Nap) says Schnetzer is playing a character called "Dylan Spokes", and the reviews I have seen of the Sheffield production say that was the character Jack O'Connell played. According to ibdb, it's Schnetzer's Broadway debut.

Add Tootsie on the list. Pre-Broadway engagement starts in September. I hope to see it early October in Chicago.
