Have to agree the Palladium is lovely and cool, almost too cold, I might put my cardigan on for Act 2!

It's currently 25 degrees in my living room and thanks to my boyfriend's obsession with tech, the ceiling fan is operated by a Wi-Fi enabled switch which has stopped working and he doesn't know why. I am not impressed!

I am not impressed! If you need a new part for the fan Ruby you can say goodbye to that until Tuesday

I hate this weather. Yes, I know I say it every year. I could have written exactly what you just wrote.

I’m hoping to see six shows in London this week
What’s the air conditioning like in the following theatres ?
Savoy, Criterion, Coliseum, Shaftesbury, Gillian Lynne and Barbican ?

For the GL and Shaftesbury which I’ve been in this week, the AC has been fine for me in this weather. I didn’t come out of those theatres sweltering.

The weather forecast for this coming week makes me want to die. I’m hoping to see six shows in London this week What’s the air conditioning like in the following theatres ? Savoy, Criterion, Coliseum, Shaftesbury, Gillian Lynne and Barbican ? The Criterion's is pretty good. Something I was very thankful for during the 4 summers The Comedy About A Bank Robbery was there.

After spending two lovely afternoons in the park, my very shapely ankles now have a nice bit of colour. I had no idea Ralph Lauren made 3/4 length shorts, but once BurlyBeaR furnished me with the information, I was off to TK Maxx like a shot. 🙂 I will not, however, be wearing them in the presence of Mater. She hasn't seen my legs since I took her and Aunty Nancy to the Great Yorkshire Show, in 2005 I think it was. They insisted on going off on their own for some reason. 🤔 More than happy to eat my fondant fancies first, though. Rude!

I sometimes feel that the weather is trolling me. We went for a walk early this morning & the sun shone the entire time. Less than 10 minutes after we got home clouds came over & it's been mostly cloudy since.

It is sunny and fairly sticky in London at the moment. Not too hot for me at all, I just hate the feeling of being sweaty!
And also the fact I woke up to 7 mosquito bites on my legs this morning... 😑

Here we go again. 27° today, 31° tomorrow. My current plan is that tomorrow's meals will be ice cream.

Dreading tomorrow, which is forecast to be 33 degrees in Cambridge, especially as I'm currently suffering from my first cold (or covid, don't know which) since October 2019. I hate having a cold at any time, but in hot weather I find it particularly awful. I'm also having to stay upstairs in my bedroom all day, rather than being able to retreat to the cooler downstairs at the hottest part of the day, because I'm trying to keep away from my mother to try (probably in vain) not to pass on whatever germs I have to her.

Put some water in the fridge now and also put some wet flannels in the freezer, wrapped in plastic bags. Then tomorrow you can use the flannels to place on your head ( trust me) and sip the water. Also sit with your feet in a bowl or bucket of cold water. Don’t just suffer, use simple stuff to keep the body temp down. If you have a cold or covid, same, don’t let body temp go too high.

No word of a lie, when I got to the railway station yesterday morning, at just after 8 o'clock, there was a man sitting on the platform in a deckchair. He was also wearing shorts and flip flops Train weren't even going to Brid!

(Seriously) you Brits cannot handle heat! True. Temperatures have no right to start with a 3.
On the other hand we do get to feel smug when people in the southern US are wailing because the temperature's only 20° above freezing, while trying to ignore the Scandinavians who loudly wonder why Britain grinds to a halt when the snow's not even a metre deep.
