Last I heard Louise Dearman was in talks for the Beverley part, but don’t know if it’s still going ahead I think she would be utterly fantastic. Would love this to come to fruition!

I’ve just finished watching this documentary on the show’s connection to Gander and the process of involving the locals. It’s a compelling watch, but obviously if you haven’t seen the show and don’t want to know anything about it whatsoever then obviously it’s best to avoid it until you’ve seen the show.
I have no no problem admitting that I blubbed like a babe (again)!

I work in aviation and I’m telling everyone who will listen that they have to see this show when it comes to London. Can’t wait for this to open.

I’m doing exactly the same Mark - it was easily the highlight of my trip last year, and I still get goosebumps listening to the OBCR even now after repeated listens. I never make recommendations unless I’m asked directly, but I’ve had to make an exception with CFA. 2019 is going to be fantastic.

Casting is complete and the British cast are under strict orders not to tell family and friends. They start in Dublin beginning of November. The show will also be without an interval over here. Should all be announced in the next few weeks.

October 10th is the big launch so I guess we can expect the announcement then.

I've heard murmurings of an ex-green girl playing the pilot. Whether that plays out as true, we will see. But it would be a dream to see her play it.

The show will also be without an interval over here. Did people really think it might be split into two acts?

I predicted a particular green girl the day after the announcement. I hope I was right!

Zoe Saldana? Gamora from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’? Wow, I knew she was a dancer, but could she really stretch to this?
Sarah Greene? Ex Blue Peter & Saturday Morning tv presenter? She was forever getting into helicopter scrapes with Mike Smith so she at least has co-piloting experience she could draw on?
Who on earth could they mean?
*yes I know who they mean...but if you say it out loud it might scare her away.

Actually yes, the person who has been cast told me in workshops they did the show with an interval and without. They will just do one act in the West End although it was discussed what UK audiences would prefer. Thinking Follies here - I much preferred an interval!

The show will also be without an interval over here. Did people really think it might be split into two acts? One would hope so. All shows in London's glitzy West End would benefit from an interval. If they're asking me to pay their exorbitant prices then the least I expect is a drink, a stretch and a wee half way through. #PeeToo

The running time is only 1hr 40. It doesn't really need an interval.

I heard rumours of Louise Dearman being cast in this, but it could be anyone. If martello736 was in charge of casting, Ashleigh Gray would play every role.

In the West end many theatre owners charge producers a fee if their show doesn't have an interval due to lost bar sales.
I think there have been examples of shows adding one to avoid this. I just can't currently think of one.

The Exorcist, in this very theatre. Though as almost nobody went to see it, the bar takings can't have amounted to much!

When Ashleigh Gray exists, why would you need anybody else? I’m still waiting for the all Gray production of Les Mis where she plays Fantine, Cosette, Eponine, Valjean, Javert, Marius, Enjolras and both Thenardiers

Last I heard, Dearman is quite happy being paid mega bucks for the odd concert and staying at home with her family the rest of the time. Happy to be proven wrong though as would love to see her in something again.

She is still listed as doing xmas concerts on 15,22, 23,24 december.
I remember an interview where she said a few months back she had something in the autumn which she couldn't talk about. Unless that's changed.
Also anyone going to Dublin the first preview on 6 december is free. 500 tickets first come first served unreserved seating. Tickets given out 6.30 pm Queues tend to start early afternoon but maybe earlier for this. And there is no shelter covering around the theatre.

I'm trying to think of where they'd put one. It's bad enough when productions add an intermission to Spelling Bee.

I think that it would have to be reworked a bit for an interval to make any sense.
I bought a souvenir sippy cup of cola ($16 INSANE) when I saw this in New York and needed the toilet the whole way through. It was brilliant though so I made it and still love it.
Interestingly on Broadway the ushers went around the whole theatre warning that there would be no intermission.
