Fake section is just embarrassing. Total fail of a song on so many levels. She is a decent singer (I think) but this is just a mess.

Why are Scott and Rylan sounding like Jules and Sandy?!! And those scary Georgian singers?? "Vote for us or we break your legs"

a big lack of upbeat pop and dance this year.
I wish the UK would send a Clean Bandit/Jess Glynn type song next year.

The UK needs to send a performer next year - whatever the merits of the Norway entry, Alexander Rybak knows how to sell it - same as Cyprus on Tuesday.

Everyone saw a ballad win last year - and so tried to find something equivalent meaning we get a ballad heavy year.
Please stop the presenters from dancing... NOW!

And no Rylan comedy sequences either...

Serbia and Slovenia really didn't deserve final places.
Pleased that Russia didn't get through. Surprised that Poland didn't make it - even though the song was not the greatest.

No waving robots in the final. Gutted.
Happy for Sweden, though.
Sadly, I won't be able to watch the final on Saturday - going to see "Absolute Hell" at the NT. Although given the reviews, perhaps I should stay in and see absolute hell on TV...

Doesn’t look like many of the songs I liked got through tonight.
Sweden is horrendous and I hope he falls over on Saturday.
I didn’t like Alexander Rybak’s much either.
Australia was a good song but they got the performance and styling SO wrong.
I mean Scott Mills has somehow hung onto this job for far too long. He really drags it down. I say it every year. I want to know what/who he knows to keep his position.
I generally like Rylan but he was trying too hard tonight.
I really like the stage with its bridges and the lack of screens has helped to give us some more innovative performances.
Not Eurovision’s best year (haven’t heard the remaining six songs, apart from SuRie), but not its worst either.

The second semi final was much more entertaining than the first with classic ESC "what the hell is this?" nonsense. Glad that Moldova and the vampires from Serbia and Ukraine got into the final.
Agree about the oily winking Swede, but Sweden gets on my nerves anyway, they're like the over-ambitious over-zealous star pupil everyone in class loves to hate, always perfect, always polished, always far too eager to win this thing while the rest of Europe is just goofing around.
I threw my vote at the Hungarians. At the end of the day I just prefer proper rock to all that trashy disco pop.

always far too eager to win this thing while the rest of Europe is just goofing around. I thought the point of Eurovision was to come second, because if you win you have to host the bloody thing.

I send to you all my very best wishes for Eurovision. May you and you family find the peace and understanding of this campest of seasons. I hope you spend the day as you want to, either with family or alone. I personally will be slashing a chicken and dousing it in piri-piri sauce. Then I need to think about what to feed my guests tonight.

Yes enjoy the show everyone. A double celebration for me as it's my birthday too. Although celebration may be too much of a word for the Eurovision based on some of the songs in the final!

Ditto.
And no word of a lie, the woman representing Slovenia is the spitting image of the urgent care practitioner on GPs: Behind Closed Doors. Same colour hair (sometimes) and everything!

Interesting that 3 of the biggest bookies favourite's are all in the final quarter of the running order. We're 9th so could well be forgotten by the time it comes to voting. I like our entry and hope it at least gets some points.

The one I'm most looking forward to seeing again tonight is Moldova. It's not the best singing, it's not a great song, I don't want it to win, but I just loved the staging. And if you wanted to know what happens behind the scenes...

And if you wanted to know what happens behind the scenes... That is utterly brilliant They deserve a special award just for this. So inventive and yet so essentially simple. Apparently it cost under 5000 Euros to make the set. Kudos to their creative team.
