Went to the matinee today - and although it’s only been 4.5 years since I last saw it, there was so much nostalgia. Pretty much as I remembered it from the West End but without the revolving bedroom or traps. The three hour runtime flies by. Solidarity still one of the best musical numbers in any musical. I never thought I’d get to see this show again so when I saw it was playing I was so happy.
Wade Neilsen played Billy and he was a true triple threat - perfect. Accents were surprisingly good for the most part - give or take a detour to Scotland and Liverpool on one or two occasions.
If you get the chance to then go! I know they say it’s unlikely we will ever get it back in the UK - but I will remain hopeful!
