From what I can see, Come From Away is going to the Abbey Theatre in Dublin from beginning to Dec 2018 - end of Jan 2019.
Think it might be original creative team re-staging it.

Casting notices have gone online, see the tweet below. It's also on other more specific websites.

Saw this show on Broadway at the weekend and it blew me away. It’s the second show recently that’s quickly become a firm favourite of mine. The spirit, message, and joy of the show is so uplifting and infectious. I’d love a production to come to the UK.

I echo the above - absolutely LOVED this on Broadway. And for once the thought of re-staging doesn't fill me with dread - all you need is a few chairs and an outstanding cast, the story and music is what makes this show.

This is fantastic news if it happens! Dublin might just have to become my Christmas trip destination this year if so!

I was there for the Saturday matinee, knew nothing about it going in but totally worth the early start for rush tickets, even if we only got standing. Completely fell in love with it, it made me cry and it made me laugh and I cannot wait to see it again.

Seriously hope this happens. Dying to see it and can't seem to turn off the cast recording at the moment!
Does anyone else listen to Jenn Colella (airline captain) and think of Julie Atherton?

I wonder if it's doing what Once did and do a run in Dublin before transferring a month or two later to the West End.

I think I'll plan a trip to Dublin regardless, I've always meant to go but haven't made it yet.

Do we know is there anything more concrete than the casting tweet? I want this to happen so badly, but don't want to unnecessarily get my hopes up

I think I'll plan a trip to Dublin regardless, I've always meant to go but haven't made it yet. It's a wonderful city, I went for a weekend to see Once in 2015 and wish I'd had more time! Saying that, if Once is on again over the summer I'd *definitely* recommend trying to catch it there!

If this turns out to be true I will be able do a couple of double show days seeing two of my favorite musicals, Come From Away at the Abbey and Les Mis tour at the Bord Gais. Conveniently both are close enough to each other.

Can you please post the casting notice? I'm curious what other details are in the it. Thanks! I honestly would, but unfortunately it's not allowed (Spotlight rules, not TheatreBoard...or maybe it's both!). Apologies - if there are any members of Spotlight on the board who want to then go for it but I won't take any chances just in case haha.

Oh, I totally understand! Thanks. What do you think are the odds of it transferring from there to the West End?

Unlikely this would be staged for just 2 months, without going on to somewhere else.
A brilliant musical and very uplifting, even though the source is very sad and desperate.
Well congratulations to Ireland and Dublin, they have got a coup de theatre.

I caught the sit-down production in Toronto yesterday. This proved that despite how amazing the original Broadway cast were for this show, that doesn't mean another cast can't match them. A lot of the characters had a similar "look" to their original counterparts, but brought something new to the role.
I would love to see what a British/Irish cast would be like in this, and more than anything this show deserves its place in the West End

This might be a dumb question... What's a sit-down production?

This might be a dumb question... What's a sit-down production? As in not a touring one, like productions in the West End.
