Oh tremendous! In your experience as a US member of this board, what does "next season" mean? If, for example, I'm planning a trip to NYC in October time, does that sound like it *might* match up, or should I plot for a different time instead?

Usually the Broadway "Season" ends around late May/June which is the cutoff time for the Tony Awards. So it could be July onwards- though highly unlikely it will open in the summer. The only thing I can think of that's opening in the summer is Pretty Woman, which is strange because most shows either opt for a fall opening (September onwards) or Spring, which is really the busiest time for new shows.
