What places could they go to? As the set and cast will be in Asia anyway, my best guess is that they'll be doing all the Asian stops first before returning to Europe. I could see them stopping in South Korea (Seoul) and Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur). Not sure about Japan, as the knowledge of English is extremely low there. And I'm neither sure if they're allowed into mainland China - maybe Wicked will be considered as too subversive. But if they were, I could see them doing Beijing and/or Shanghai. Australia and New Zealand seem also to be likely tour stops. In Europe, I don't think they'll be doing Istanbul anymore after the coup and Erdogan's recent actions. Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Scandinavia (I'm not familiar with the theatre scene there and which cities have "proper" theatres), Scheveningen (Holland), Germany, Switzerland (Zurich? St. Gallen?), Paris and Madrid all seem to be likely stops, but some of them maybe for less than 4-6 weeks. I just can't see them going to Belgium*). *) just kidding, @pointone Yeah, they'll probably do lots of Asian stops first. Although, with all the stops you've mentioned, which are all rather likely to happen, I think they'd need the tour to run longer than just until January 2018. And even though you're just kidding, you do have a point about Belgium sadly enough. It's a very small country. On the other hand there are a few very good theatres here, the Stadsschouwburg in Antwerp for instance, which according to wikipedia has the largest theatre stage in Europe. And there have been quite a few international productions announced recently. So far we'll get Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats and Footloose in 2017, all in English. On top of that, Holland and Germany have had productions before. So maybe if they don't do Holland and go with Belgium instead they'll have a new audience, and still get lots of people from Holland coming to see it here, not to mention big fans from the UK coming over. Maybe that's all just wishful thinking, but I hope it happens.

Good suggestions Michael and I also wonder whether it's more stops in Asia/Australia up next as part of the delay in announcing could be ensuring that Visas are in place for all cast & crew before tickets go on sale?

Im hoping it's just this cast contracted to January 2018. Surely an international tour has the possibility to be open-ended like the American tours?

So is anyone in tonight to confirm that Jodie Steele will debut as Elphaba!? 💚
EDIT: I've just realised it's only Wednesday... Geez what a week already!

I hope someone records Jodie today. I think she could potentially be one of the best Elphabas vocally.

Giving away two tickets for tonight in Bradford as I don't wish to see an understudy for Elphaba.
Can email tickets straight away as they are print at home.
Row C in the stalls.
First person to reply can have them

If only they had told us she was going to be on sooner so people could have seen her! That's how it goes with standbys and understudies. The lead won't often take time off in the first few weeks. And actually I think it was announced a few days ago, so many people did get the chance to book especially to see her. But I think that performance was sold out anyway.

I booked to see the show again based on Jacqueline Hughes and her performance I saw at the first preview. The person I am bringing has never seen the show before so want her to see the amazing Ms Hughes and the lady I am bringing agrees with me. It's all about choice and I know some are happy to see whoever is on but unfortunately I am not.

I think Jodie will be amazing too though, because she has a wonderful voice. But I guess it's just a matter of personal preference.

Saw the show tonight...I'll post my full thoughts tomorrow when I've had time to sleep on it, but I really wasn't especially impressed. The audience loved it, there were whoops and cheers and a standing ovation so it must just be me, but I felt that I've seen stronger cast members in each and every one of the lead roles.
Full review to come tomorrow.

Saw the show last night, thought it was just ok.
I much preferred Jacquelines singing tonight than on the previous tour, not as many riffs, which made it sound a lot more natural to the story. But her acting wasn't the greatest...I thought she was a little over the top at times, and for some reason her acting reminded me of Raven from Thats So Raven, I was just expecting her to say "oh snap". I do think she has improved slightly sonce the last tour, but not by much.
Carly as Glinda, I actually enjoyed her performance, just a typical Glinda, she reminded me a lot of Dianne Pilkington, just not as high pitched, with a little bit of Savannah thrown in.. She seemed so rigid during "No One Mourns the Wicked". I am too used to seeing a Glinda show the crowd how upset she is when they are celebrating Elphabas death, then I realised she should have been celebrating too, as the crowd would not have known they were friends, so it was almost as if she was just in complete shock. Im not sure if that actually was an acting choice or if she just took a whole song to get going.
Bradley as Fiyero, was the highlight for me...that voice was perfection...those legs in the white leggings. Vocally, and physically the best Fiyero I have seen.
Stephen Pinder as the Wizard/Dillamond, wasn't a fan last tour, not a fan this tour.
Kim Ismay such a bitchy Morrible...I loved her.
Emily as Nessa, I enjoyed, I think she had a little mic trouble during WWOTE.
Iddon as Boq was adorable. Especially during his scenes with Glinda.
So all in all, not the best performance of the show I've seen, and it wasn't the worst. Nothing made me go "WOW!" (apart from Bradley Jaden). But the rest of the audience seemed to love it.
