Any idea who will take over from Peter? Will they make Adam Bayjou lead Valjean or will they bring in another Valjean? If they cast another Valjean I'd like to see Hans Peter Janssens return to the role. I saw him in a few other shows and he was very good. I reckon it will be Bayjou taking over as JVJ to be honest. They gave a few leads leaving in December. I reckon they will get back people in some cases to play the roles. I also reckon they could get back Edd Campbell Bird as Marius. Also one if my faves in the show Oli Brenin who is current 2nd cover JVJ had a chat with Zoe that was posted on the Les Mis twitter. He said about having his debut JVJ show and developing his voice for coving. During the video said quote ''The more I get on'' (not if or when) now concidering it was 3 months before he got a shot at playing Valjean and last cast year between Luke McCall & Bradley Jaden they only got 3 shows over 2 days. I would have thought Oli wouldn't get many more days as JVJ. Esp if they get someone new who most likey wouldn't take a holiday for a while and Adam rarely has his JVJ days off. Unless Oli knows he'll get to be on more and the only way will be if he knows he'll be 1st cover. Hense thats why I really believe now Adam will be bumbed up to lead.

Does anybody know the date of December cast change? I'm going for the matinee on the 10th! December 3rd is the cast who are leaving last show.

The only JVJ I can recall ever being promoted to full-time was Sean Kingsley and that was a disaster. These big shows don't like bumping up understudies - generally, you have to leave and then come back. Doubt he'll get it.
Anyone who knows Cam Mac's internal casting policy knows it's always "safety first". In the newest Miss Saigon making of DVD he says (paraphrased): "I'm not really one for changing things that don't need to be changed".
That's why we see the same, trusted performers again and again and again and again in the biggest shows.
I reckon someone experienced in the role will return. There qre hundreds of covers over the years who perhaps have "deserved" a run but they are told they are "too valuable" in the ensemble or other such nonsense and not given a break.

I've heard they are taking the original cast over. But surely that wouldn't be both Craig and Nadim? They played the same part!

Thats a real big shame the only reason I went back was to see Adam Bayjou as JVJ. Unless he's leaving as well :-(. I know it's not one of the big roles but last year they bumped up Bradley from ensemble to play Enjolras. I saw Adam back in November for the first time and each time since then he's got stronger and stronger.I have noticed he gets a lot if postive comments after he has his Valjean shows as well. Consider all the fuss CamMac company as made about social media use recently. I'm sure they are aware of what people post about the actors on it. Any way we will see come I guess November when they will announce the cast change.

Rachelle, Eva and Zoe are leaving in December too, this'll feel like more of a cast change than the actual designxated June one! Is Rachelle leaving as well??

I think I've read Nadim saying on Twitter that he's contracted to Phantom for another year. Also he became a dad only last month so would he want to go to New York with a small baby?

Just came to find out that John Owen Jones, Jodie Prenger and Adam Linstead are JVJ, and the Thenadiers in the upcoming production opening in Dubai.

Things could be worse... She could have been cast as Fantine, Cosette or Eponine!

Truly! I was just thinking how the Nancy runner ups have had a more sustainable and interesting careers than she did..

Well she was never Cameron's favourite Nancy (!) and he made that quite clear in the final episode of the programme... Suited to this role I suppose, although why she's doing it in Dubai of all places is a mystery. Why not the West End? Isn't she West End Worthy?

It's a limited run, I'm sure they'll recycle all the casts eventually and maybe place her in the West End. TBH I thought it was going to be the Australian cast in Dubai, now doing a stint in Singapore and just head a bit west, but it turns out they're assembling a new cast altogether.

Sorry if this has been asked & answered already, but does anyone know if you can get day seats for Les Mis? We're looking to go in the next couple of weeks but really need to get tickets on the day/day before. If they do day seats, can you just turn up when the box office opens or are they not sold throughout the day?
I was also going to pop to the Tkts booth if I can get out of work & the theatre doesn't do day seats. Thanks very much for any further information.

They don't do dayseats as they don't need to, there is always high enough demand for normal prices. That said, TKTS, I have seen recently, have been offering some reduced prices, and if you wanted something from the box office you could go there, but be prepared that they probably won't reduced the price.

Judging by Craig Mather's recent tweet re: number of performances left, I presume (if he has no holiday to take) that the current cast that are leaving will be playing there final performances 26th November. Now comes the tough time of do I book in advance now to avoid the scramble for affordable tickets, or wait and see if I like the new cast.

Not recently, but about 3 years ago I went to see Le Mis with a friend, at the last minute. We went to have a look at Tkts in Leicester Square, which had seats for sale at about £30 if I recall. We then went to the Les Mis box office (at about 5.30pm ) and asked if they had any cheapish seats available. I actually mentioned to the box office staff member that we had looked at Tkts but thought we would ask them directly before booking. He then got us 2 tickets at about £25 each, good stalls seats if I remember, not restricted view or anything. As he said 'saves us the commission'. So, we may just have been lucky on that day, but I always think it's worth asking at the box office first, even if the theatre doesn't specifically mention day seats on their site.

Thanks, that's all really helpful. I can always pop out at lunch and go to the box office to ask and then go to tkts if no luck there.

I've been to ask at the Box Office a couple of time and they've always said a point blank no to discounts, despite being on TKTS.

I think how brusque they are can depend on how busy the show is. I tried once on a Friday to ask for a cheap ish seat and they told me essentially to get lost

Anyone know if Eva or her cover have announced any of her holiday dates? (I'm aware they technically aren't allowed to - thanks, Cam Mac...)
I normally wouldn't worry about a cover being on, but after seeing Eva in Miss Saigon I really don't want to miss her Eponine.
On another note, Adam Bayjou does Monday evenings, doesn't he? I'm not a great fan of Peter Lockyer so would be nice to see a different Valjean.

Zoe is finishing that day as well & I assume Rachelle, Eva & Peter will all finish 3rd aswell.

I think Rachelle might end her run earlier as she is Fantine in Dubai until 3rd of December. I wouldn't be surprised if some members of that company are brought into London as the new cast, like Hayden Tee as Javert and Jodie Prenger as Madame Thenadier. Hopefully not John Owen Jones as JVJ.

Jodie Prenger is due to be touring in Shirley Valentine from March, so that wouldn't give her a lot of time to play Madame T at the Queens.

I'm still praying they make Bayjou JVJ. Jeremy isn't leaving yet. Although I guess Katy could. Helen Walsh has been Mme T on tour they could get her back.
