I was lucky enough to go when Denis Severs did the tours himself. In fact I went three times because he wouldn’t take kids under 12 so I took each in turn with various friends. It was an amazing experience each time. I was so sad when he died but pleased to see that they are keeping it up. I dared to look too carefully at a bit of china in the Victorian room on one visit and got a proper telling off from Denis. It was all about the experience not the objects. Rather different from the old National Trust though bless 'em, they try in some properties.
I would def recommend and for kids ..if they let them in now.
