I thought it was a beautiful piece and the orchestrations were really something, but for all the good work it's doing telling a story of non-white men with traditional instruments and great performances, I can't even begin to tell you how angry I was over the female characters. Dina was great, obviously, but the others were extremely poorly served. It's the twenty-first century and we're still serving up causal misogyny and shallow stereotypes. Thanks, great work.

Closing on Broadway in April. Surprised it isn’t going to run through the summer.

Closing date set for April 7th, 2019. Maybe the producers could talk Katrina Lenk into sticking around until closing. The Barrymore will be a great house for Jagged Little Pill. The Band’s Visit Closing Date

Such a shame, this was the best thing I saw on Broadway last year. It will presumably have a touring life anyway.

I’m in New York right now and walked past the theatre yesterday before the evening not many people waiting outside and this was before the show was starting.

This seems really out of the blue. I wasn't really paying attention to the grosses for this one particularly, but I was under the impression it was a hit?

I never walk out of shows but today I did very disappointed I wish I’d have gong to see the prom instead. You walked out in the middle of the show (I presume, given it has no interval) - I'm sorry, but in my mind (and most performers', judging by recent social media on the subject) that really is rude! Not to mention distracting for those around you. I couldn't believe when I saw this show how many people couldn't last the 90 minutes without going out and returning - I appreciate some people may have medical issues, but not the number of people who were going out to the toilets in a 90 minute show, which really isn't that long. 2 hours or more I can understand, but not a short show.
