It's coming in the not too distant future. look out for it.
Bryan Adams is on Sunday Brunch-Channel 4 and has explained that he is writing the music for the upcoming show. 20 songs.
Heard it here first.

As long as they are creative with this then I'm on board!!
It's one of my all time favourite movies...there has to be a big number for 'Big mistake, huge'

I hope they can use part of this score and turn into a song, it really is beautiful 'He sleeps'
They have to include 'It must have been love' by Roxette

Oh, fingers crossed they do what they did with another fave ("An Officer and a Gentleman") and try it out in Australia where it can't hurt anyone... please... Eh?

Yes, am very well aware that they tried out An officer and a Gentleman in Australia and that it flopped miserably and whilst I get your point that you memories and dreams were left intact, however it sound like Australia is being used as the place to try out things and if it fails, no one beyond the boundaries of the continents is none the wiser.
That's well and good for use, but what about the Australians?
You may mot be aware of this but the Australian theatre seen is struggling at the best of times and is nowhere as vibrant as it is over here. There's a reason why the talent leaves to come here

I'll be very happy to see a musical where there's a prostitute who DOESN'T die

(Genuinely) not upset. Nor did I find you comments insensitive. In all the years I have been contributing to this board-and the old board (far too long) I have only been upset (I am using that term VERY loosely) buy one post where someone made an incorrect assumption about me.
Sooo, I was trying to highlight that we too suffer the same frustrations you have expressed.
Trust me, anytime any mew musical is announced, they are on it.
Theatremonkey.com, we're all good.

Bumping this as Bryan Adams' recent instagram post seems like this is back on track:
Jerry Mitchell retweeted it, might mean absolutely nothing but could he be involved?

Staggered that Samantha Barks has got the lead in this. She is no doubt pretty, and is certainly a woman but she has no charisma whatsoever.

And I think mallardo would back me up on that one. Personally, I'm trying to figure out if I can get to NY or not, or the possibility of the show coming over here. Great choice of lead, I think.
She was also quite sensational in the LMTO concert version of Honeymoon in Vegas. No charisma??? Please.
She's not an obvious choice for the role, she has no real name value on Broadway, so one can only conclude that she won the role legitimately through the audition process. Are we really questioning Jerry Mitchell's judgment here? If he chose her then that's all that needs to be said.

Yes, I’m very well aware of yours and mallardo’s ‘interest’ in Ms Barks I’m more concerned about her ability to charm a US audience, not to mention convince them that there isn’t an attractive actress with a reasonable voice available in America who could have played this iconic role.

It must be part of the Equity Exchange programme. Considering that all the BoM leads have all been American, Dreamgirls' three leads all came from the states not to mention countless other times people have come over. There was a similar comment made when Charlie Stemp got his role in Hello Dolly.
Also, Samantha got great review when she did the out of town try out of Amelie in the US.
But I do agree that she doesn't seem to be the most obvious choice for the role.

I can't believe how this is appropriate in 2017. It was difficult to watch even in the '90s, and thought it was totally inappropriate in the horrible message it sends. I'm so surprised at the number of women who adore this film.
And Jerry Mitchell is a horrible director. At best, he does well choreographing drag queens. Everything he does has a Broadway Bares stank.
