I will watch it when it comes out on DVD. The TV Film/Mini Series was the first horror thing I ever watched, I was 11. It scared the life out of me. I became scared of clowns, balloons, blood, bathrooms & any thing with fangs - instantly!! I only actually watched all the way through about 12 years ago.

Quite curious if they do film the second half, how they will get around the "bonding experience" with Bev, that's crucial to the book but illegal to film. It won't be in the second film, it's from the events portrayed in the first film and the filmmakers decided to cut it (apparently the scene where they cut palms to do blood-bonding is supposed to act as a replacement).

As someone who hasn't read the book, I found this film a bit of a hot mess. Unexplained plot holes, tonal inconsistencies, the humour didn't really work for me for the most part, I didn't find it remotely scary and it was 30 minutes too long.
That said, the young actors are charming and had good chemistry. They were enjoyable to watch.

I've never understood the fear of clowns. I assumed it was some sort of collective joke, and it was quite a surprise to find that there are people who are genuinely afraid of them. Unless the stories about genuine clown phobias are also part of the joke. Yeah I get that. Went to the local multiplex to see Wind River (very good that), and was approached by an IT clown in the foyer. Poor clown was left in no uncertain terms he could do one. Something wrong about clowns

I went to see this last Friday and experienced the worst behaviour ever. Lots of teens talking loudly, laughing and annoying everyone.
I told them to shut the f*ck up and that made them laugh even more.
Went outside after 30 minutes suffering those a$$h0les to speak to the manager. She told me, "it's Friday night, what do you expect?". EXCUSE ME? So it is my fault now?
Managed to get a refund.
I guess I'll just wait till I find it online...
