Dear @caiaphas - it is, indeed, such fun dredging up these memories of past achievements (no one has yet guessed what my bbc stands for (won 3 times in succession, gloaty gloat!) and claimed their £5.)
I am now trying to remember which level B.A.G.A I reached in gymnastics.....
Love, Tibidabo Bbc, GCE domestic science.xx

Of course you can all sneer and say 'Yes, but you didn't win!' to which I can only reply: 'I wus robbed!'

I didn't have to dredge nearly as deeply as you thought I might have to: my Granny nominated me for the Kind Citizen Award when I was in Class Four. And I bloody well won!!! Ner, ner, ner, ner, ner! (I like a challenge. I am working on Tibidabo's bbc...)

Dear Tony Grainy nominated etc etc.
You may be closer to that £5 than you realise.

That rings a bell, I think I did them too. I seem to recall managing to get a couple of badges despite being pretty lousy at gymnastics, as I was at all sports. (The only time I won anything at Sports Day was a certificate for coming 3rd in an egg & spoon race. There were only 4 entrants & in 4th place was my best friend, who has cerebral palsy.)

It was very easy to get the awards, a little bit of research led to me finding what you had to do. Here's what you had to do to get level 6 (easiest level) and here's what you had to do for level 1. Then after that I think there were bronze, silver and gold but I don't remember if they were still kitekat. Anyway that's all wildly off topic, hmm, I guess we've always got Christopher Plummer's The Sound of Mucus but that doesn't quite fit the rule of changing one letter. Here are some ideas, sorry if anything has been repeated: Bales in Arms - Set during the grass cutting season Bells are Singing - About a group of bell ringers Flood Brothers Hats - I'd watch this over Cats! Halt a Sixpence - Giant sixpence needs stopping as it rolls down a hill Into the Words - sounds so boring Show Moat - Sandcastle competition for the best moat Starfight Express - Intergalactic star battles Tick, Sick... Boom! Top Cat Whistle down the Wand Nicked - Musical about police in Oz

BTW and off this particular thread, in response to a question from Mr Snow on another thread, I found a picture of one of my regular music hall and variety artists, Kent Baker, taken in the bar at Theatre Royal, Stratford East, with Toni Palmer doing the bar entertainment in the days when Ken Hill and Caroline Eves were running the theatre after Joan Littlewood had left. The handsome devil playing the piano is of course yours truly. As I can't seem to get jpegs from my computer into my posts I will use the pic as my avatar for a while. Kent also appeared in some of Joan Littlewood's later shows and was also in some of Ken Hill's adventure shows like 'Land of the Dinosaurs'.

If I remember correctly, Into The Words is Forbidden Broadway's parody of Into The Woods/Sondheim in general.
