...not that we needed it. However we now have this pile of smug, self-indulgent, embarrassing luvviedom TRIPE foisted on us.
BA you can shove this the same place as your M&S sandwich selection. And that's a destination where the sun don't shine!

I quite liked it. I preferred when they worked with Pam Ann though.
Don't get me started about not getting food and drink on short haul now though.

Haven't watched it yet, but isn't it partly in aid of Comic Relief, too? Looks like a pretty funny idea. Doesn't it take so much energy to be grumpy so much?!

Normally Rowan Atkinson's Mr Bean style stuff makes me want to claw my face off but I genuinely chuckled at that.
Plus, Gillian Anderson.

What an odd thing to get annoyed about. It's mildly amusing, mainly Gillian Anderson, and for charity.
I fail to see the problem.

Haven't watched it but imo, the rot set in when BA gobbled up BCal.

Love Thandie Newton's outfit, can't even begin to wind myself up to being cross about the video, and if *I* can't be bothered winding myself up, it really must be a nothing sort of a thing.

I'm not cross. Although Thandie's skirt could get me cross if I thought about it too much because it's a horrible colour and doesn't match the top.

BA went to the dogs when they "merged" with Iberia. From "the world's favourite airline" it has morphed into the world's most expensive budget airline.

How often do you fly BA? I fly them all the time, often on long haul flights, and I have noticed no decline in standards whatsoever. Still my favourite airline.

The champagne selection in Club World has gone right down the pan.

Nah, it was Alex Cruz (former head of Vueling, didn't get his bonus last year 'cos he f***ed up the Vueling scheduling so badly that they had loads of delays) taking over that led to the aggressive cost-cutting and major decline of service. He's trying to make BA a low-cost carrier in economy - starting with short haul, rolling out on long-haul in the near future - and a premium brand in Businness and First Class at the same time. That's why some people won't have experienced the cuts yet.

I flew Vueling back from Rome a couple of months ago.
Hideous. Never again.

I flew Vueling back from Rome a couple of months ago. Hideous. Never again. Last year I went out to Barcelona with BA which was acceptable but came back with Vueling which was absolutely dire. No leg room at all. Used to be able to get some sale bargains with BA business class out of City Airport but that seems to have stopped.

Agreed, although my flights are only to Europe it is the airline I would choose above others.
Also thought the video was good fun

I went to Scotland with BA and whilst I miss the free booze and snacks, it still isn't as bad as sleazyjet.
We went with Vueling to Florence and it wasn't too hideous. They played Belle and Sebastian whilst we waited for take off. I am short though and I booked partner aisle seat for his long legs.

It's the sandwiches. Or rather the lack of them. They have that menu, ha hadeha, but then they don't have half of them. Or the snacky things. And I don't get why you pay for a cup of scalding weak tea. It would be surely a nice thing to make a big pot and then give to whoever wants. Surely they can factor in Tea with a splash of milk or those hideously hard to open capsules that splash all over you and leave a greasy spot? Have they ever asked customers what they like? Coffee different, maybe use a capsule sponsor. So M&S which does make nice sarnies and wraps etc are maligned in what BA offers. I wonder they don't complain at being misrepresented.

I don't like the BA food! From Italy to London I was given this little box, which contained a tiny sandwich and a tiny cake. I was starving, so I ate them, but I found them disgusting. On the flight back I refused the lunch box. The FA looked at me as if I were an alien, but I didn't care.

It's been a while since I flew BA short haul - but long haul I've always had a good experience.
I went to Sydney twice last year, once with Cathay and once with BA. Having heard good things I was shocked by how bad Cathay were - the second trip with BA was far superior.

Hey, BB, can we sell this thread to BA? Market research?

I only used to fly with BA to create my own déclassé drinks cabinet 40,000 feet above the ground. It's a world gone mad.
