See the review for
Dessert on WOS
and compare that to the review in The Times
4 v 1 star
This sums up everything about WOS
In a nutshell
It is like Time Out
Free and good for using if you run out out paper when camping
No one takes it seriously

The Times seeming directive to employ antagonistic reviewers just makes reading them pointless. There is no worth in reading the writings of people who purportedly like so little. It's usually Treneman (who is unreadable) but Maxwell seems to have ridden behind, taking that same trajectory too.
The WOS reviewers are much more interested in theatre and not themselves. I may not always agree but they aren't trying to get noticed by pushing to the extremes and crying out like spoiled brats. It's political (again), they want to be divisive and will do anything to get noticed.

Agree, the Times has become pointless for theatre reviews - they might as well get Katie Hopkins to do it. All jumping up and down for attention, no thought or insight at all.

The Times never seems to give a musical more than 2 stars.

The Times never seems to give a musical more than 2 stars. Except Fiddler, which got 4 stars.

I refuse to have anything to do with the Murdoch empire Exactly. I won't have the Murdoch empire in the house.
Nice to see parsley's poems again.
