Where does the income from this site go, e.g. from advertising, sale of merchandise etc? Are there accounts?

Our presence on the internet is hosted by Proboards, who would normally display their own ads. However, we have an arrangement where we 'buy out' of the Proboards ads - and run ads that we have sourced ourselves. Our aim is to generate more revenue by selling our own ad spaces than it costs us to 'buy out' of Proboards advertising. The buy-out fee is based on our page hits; so the more successful we become, the more it costs to 'buy out.'
So, why bother? We could just sit back and let Proboards run their ads and have a happy, stress free life. Well, the intention is to turn enough profit from our own ads, merch and ticket store to be able to fund things that are needed to give members and visitors an experience over and above the Proboards 'basics'. And then to provide activities and competition prizes for members - anything left would go to theatre related charities. The admin team are volunteers and don't take, or intend to take, payment for the thousands of hours collectively invested in setting up and running the site.
Regarding accounts, we comply with all regulations. As we are not a limited company, financial reports won't be in the public domain as we are not required to publish anything.

Well done all. If it ever gets a bit of a struggle at mod towers to make ends meet you could charge daily fees for policing the Wicked thread
