Ben Cracknell isn't a Kenwright boy. I know his work very well. He always does the lighting for Curve productions and did The Addams Family and Young Frankenstein too. I know of hardly any Kenwright he has done. I have no clue about the others. |

As well as 1000 extra tickets released tomorrow, starting from June 1st more tickets will be released every Friday

It was a more of a "Bill picked em or strongly recommended them", not meant as a slight but a slight explanation to where the all male creative team has come from. Ben Cracknell has worked with Kenwrights on La Cage and I think they were a commercial producer on some of the regional stuff that had a later life. Dan Samson has done a ton including Sound of Music and Jesus Christ Superstar and Cilla, Gary Lloyd worked on Carrie and Fame, Gary Hickeson on Cilla and Sound of Music, though Will Burton is PTM's usual casting director, and David Shields has worked a lot with PTM as well. I guess my comment really should have been "Sadly they've has played it very safe and brought in people they know." |

As well as 1000 extra tickets released tomorrow, starting from June 1st more tickets will be released every Friday Crazy. They have probably only sold about half the tickets across the entire run and make this announcement all over social media like it’s a brilliant thing they are doing for people who missed out. Ridiculous marketing |

Initially missed out getting tickets under £30 and now I see there are more up. Question is.... what is better between partially restricted side B (4 seats in) or back row middle listed as overhang may obscure?

So I'm guessing a lot of people bought more expensive tickets than they wanted to due to lack of availability at the lower price brackets - I'm sure they're going to be massively happy at this news!

Thanks for the heads-up, I've taken a row B ticket at the side. I could've gone for the back, because I think the theatre has a decent rake and good views all the way back, but I do prefer to be closer if possible. The only time sitting at the side was a real problem for me was Urinetown, because it meant there were spotlights shining directly into my face, but I've never had any other issues being round to the side. There's a risk they might put in a proscenium or put bits of set in the way, but the latter is more of a problem for people in row A than row B, as a general rule.

Sat in a very similar seat for Big Fish and the view was excellent. Obviously we don't know what the set design is like, so it is a risk, but you're close to the action, only at a slight angle and pretty level with the stage. Glad I held out last week and didn't jump on the premium tickets. |

Perhaps this was to combat the backlash of people not being able to get a ticket? (Although they sold lots of tickets i didnt think it was a sell out) But this does seem like a good point to make. If I had forked out more money than I wanted to to then only a week later hear theyre releasing more tickets at an affordable price, id be annoyed! |

Join me as I patiently wait for those £75 tickets to go on sale at a discounted rate on TodayTix (or perhaps at an even more heavily discounted rate at TKTS, etc.)  While I wholeheartedly wish The Other Palace and any other venue and/or producer willing to take a risk with a piece of contemporary MT every success, I am not quite convinced that Ms Fletcher alone can sell a whole run. And while I appreciate that many devoted "Hopefuls" have bought multiple ones of the cheaper tickets to ensure that they can go bow before their muse again and again, I am even less convinced that the presence of Ms Fletcher in a show can justify a ticket price in the same range as the pairing of Rosalie Craig and Patti Lupone directed by Marianne Elliott. I'll be happy to be proved wrong, but I'm quite confident cheaper tickets will become available at some point or other... |

When I looked early this morning, having missed the cheaper ticket boat first time round, the lowest price I could find was £37.50 and only for a couple of dates, so I don't know how it is that others managed to find any at £25 around that time - but great for those who did. However, for me £25 would have been quite a risk for an unknown quantity so I shall wait for reviews and, as MoreLife says above, possible discounts on the higher prices. |
