I read, on here I think, a mention of loud noises and pyros in this? It wasn't really elaborated on then. Is anyone willing to spoil it for me? I remember there was enough to put me on edge, but I can't recall exactly when. I seem to think it was mostly sound effects and mostly in the second half. Pyros were more the bright lights than the big bang sort. But I'm sure someone who saw it a few times can confirm.

Is anyone willing to spoil it for me? {Spoiler - click to view} There are, I think, 4 gunshot noises (3 at the end of Act 1, 1 about midway through Act 2) and also explosion noises at the end of Act 2.
No pyros, just flashing lights during the 2nd to last song of Act 1

Like several musicals, the social media is probably run by a private PR firm instead of people who actually work on the show. That still doesn't excuse the actions. You want to use an image on social media and don't know the source? You find that source and ask for permission or purchase it, and if you can't do that then you don't use that. That's the protocol that I work by anyway, and that's how it SHOULD be. It is definitely not okay and looks very unprofessional.

I read they've given Veronica a new song near the end of Act 2, is it any good?

Sorry to derail the woe-fest, but has anyone been back to ‘Heathers’ since it’s move? What are the changes? Does it lose anything being in a larger space? Does Martha now fly an actual unicorn? Spoilers for anyone who doesn’t want to know! I’d say it has transferred really well. It’s the show from the Other Palace but just bigger in every way. The lighting design in particular was really effective. There are two additional cast members playing students creating a bigger ensemble. Overall I’d say the changes work to give more meaning to character decisions. So there was a bit more emphasis on Martha in Act 2 to highlight why she would then try and kill herself. I can’t remember if this was originally in it but Veronica’s mum questions her friendship with the Heathers. There were numerous line and lyric changes. Shine a light in particular had a number of changes. A lot more dialogue beforehand and everyone wears shiny jackets. JD now stands at the side with a spotlight ready to shine on whoever is chosen as Steve. Veronica’s new song is great and helps to push JD to the point where he wants to blow up the school. There’s now a moon effect at the back to emphasise the nighttime scenes. There’s a load of little things that I can’t think of off the top of my head but they didn’t simply just move the show over from the Other Palace. If you saw it and enjoyed it at the Other Palace then I’d say it’s definitely worth a second watch here.

Ok so, I saw the show Monday and then promptly came back to the states Tuesday. I would give my thumbs to go back and see the show again.
Also is there ANY way to hear “I Say No” I would give a hand for THAT.

Was on TKTS for both shows today, 30% off so £38. Thought it worth a wander to box office to see if any further discount and we got £25 row B circle for the matinee! This was about 1pm so worth a try even if you miss the morning rush.

Could Heathers respond by suggesting that you didn’t ask permission to use their copyrighted image on the poster in your pic? *puts on tin helmet and waits to get battered* (blame 🐒 🍌 he’s made me like this with the copyright thingy)

Is this longer than it was at The Other Palace now? I thought the run time was about 2 hours and 20 minutes but someone on facebook said it was over 2 and a half hours.

Is there anywhere I can find the full cast list? The Heathers website appears to be all one page, and the TRH website doesn't seem to list the cast.

Can anyone tell me what cover John Lumsden is? Is he a 1st or 2nd cover JD. 1st and only cover. Apart from some as yet unexplained role sharing and so the 2 adult male roles having 2 covers listed, all other roles only have 1 cover

So my thoughts from this afternoon. I went in with high expectations and they were all met, and beyond. I’ve purposely never listened to the recordings or read the plot/watched the movie. It felt fresh, there was lots of energy, great score, great cast, great musical! Carrie Hope Fletcher I had only seen once before in Addams where I didn’t rate her (or the production) but what a difference - she excels here and I found her vocals and performance exceptional and can now see why she has a lot of fans. Jamie Muscato was also excellent along with the rest of the cast. Great to see a young audience in. I am a bit surprised they went for a Thursday matinee over a Sunday performance mind, as I can’t see this appealing to the coach groups!
5 stars from me, and I will definitely be back.

The position of Steve has changed. He is no longer in the first or second row There isn’t a set position for Steve - it wasn’t always first or second row at The Other Palace and yesterday Rebecca Lock tweeted someone saying she had free reign, so in effect it could still be anywhere

I'm seeing the show tonight, spur of the moment so got one of the cheap tickets in the Upper Circle which is high enough for me, there is no was jf sit in the hell on earth situation that is the Balcony at this theatre. I didn't see it at The Other Palace so I'm certainly intrigued being a fan of the film.

What is this Steve thing? Audience participation? Oh God. So, in terms of the storyline on the film there is a hippie teacher who calls all the students into the cafeteria after the 'suicides' of three students in an attempt encourage all the students together as a way of healing; hugging, swaying arms, opening up and confessing- that sort of thing. So in terms of the stage show adaptation when none of the students really partake the teacher says "Okay, I'll go first" and the calls out something to the effect of "Steve, I'm ending out affair!" and that she "faked it every time!" confessing how liberating that was and then proceeds to thrust the microphone of a male audience member, as if he were Steve. Yes, it's as awkward as hell fir that guy for about 30 seconds, but white fun for the abidance looking on. Hope this helps!
