Just got that email too. I wonder if her known serious stage fright is the reason? Very sad if so. She did Betty Blue Eyes for six months so I'm surprised that to learn she has stage fright.

Sorry to hear she's unwell, seems like a good replacement though. Like David, I'm now attending a preview.
The email says
which is odd phrasing, wonder what happens if someone decides not to "continue to join us" and contacts customer services?

I'm assuming since the first week and a bit of previews were cancelled, people can either being rebooked or getting a refund.

Called DMT and got my tickets for 2 Oct moved to later in the run. Quite happy to see Tamsin Greig although Sarah Lancashire would have been more interesting, just because she does less theatre so I haven't seen her on stage as much as Tamsin.
I'd done some checking on the online booking and there was one evening when there were two seats in row D, so have been moved into those a month later and am happy to see once the show has bedded in a bit more - I don't like previews and I especially don't like previews charged at full price...

Gosh. That means that I'm going on the second night now. I hope they've learned the script by then.

Bugger! My main reason for going was to see Sarah Lancashire but Tamsin Greig has been excellent in everything I've seen.

Maybe they will now extend? I wasn't going for any cast member but because it sounded an interesting play, so I'm just glad they've been able to secure the production - though obviously sorry for Sarah Lancashire, whom I've never seen in anything.

If you happen to be William A. In Chipping Sodbury who shares my surname, I’m just sending your tickets on to you after DMT helpfully sent them attached to mine.

Did anyone attend the first preview? A friend of mine did and liked it very much. He’s a regular theatregoer and our tastes often coincide, so I’m optimistic.

Currently sitting in the day seat queue (3rd at 9am). Glad for a proper step and canopy to relax under away from the rain and the wet street. I'm sure I'll have some opinion to share this evening.

Well. God bless Tamsin Greig. You'd never have guessed that she was a late addition, she was glorious. It was was as though the part was written for her and I actually couldn't imagine Sarah Lancashire playing the role to be honest. It's pretty much a two-hander for most of the play.
I found the first act rather labour-ious (I thank you) but it picks up in the second act. Rachael Stirling is WASTED in a pretty thankless role but she does look lovely in leggings and wellie boots and that voice is worth a ticket price anyway. Tamsin Grieg does make you think that the play is a lot better than it is though. I think it'll get zippier as the run goes on.
Lots of Labour voters in the audience cheering away when a clip of Baroness T resigning was shown and several people giving standing ovations at the end. Show offs.
Oh and I almost went on the terrorism list too. Thank God Theresa May was out of the country or she'd have had me deported. I was at the end of the row and so I stood against the wall waiting for the show to start having a little aperitif. I'd left my bag on the (MY!) upturned seat as people kept coming back and forth along the row and with it being narrow leg room (and the audience being mostly geriatric), my bag would have tripped them up. And then the lady next to me reported my lovely bag to an usher who started speaking into her walkie-talkie. I was trying to prevent an accident and was almost accused of being a terrorist! The cheek of it. "Who leaves a bag around in London?" she cried. "Someone who is stood next to it and trying to stop you from tripping up you old heffer, that's who!" I replied.
We didn't speak after that.

How clever of you to recognise her as a relative of the late Eric Heffer. What a memory you must have!

With all the "if you see something say something" rhetoric going around these days, you can't *really* blame her for calling an usher to deal with an unattended bag. However I am going to blame her for not having the nous to do a quick "is this anyone's?" shout-around before going straight to red alert. That would have alerted her to the fact it was a complete non-problem in less than four seconds.

I have a lot in my bag, it can take several minutes to locate things. Not so observant then was she. AND I let her husband out for a toilet break. A mistake I shall not be making again in a hurry in case I get taken away by Interpol. I mean I've always wanted to be one of the FBIs most wanted men but for *completely* different reasons.

Ryan I've done that before for same reasons and being all of a foot away had not thought it a problem will now consider myself warned. Did you really say that? Oh to have been there.
