Has he lost weight? He just looks so different!

I think he's lost weight over the last few years- he's thinner in the later episodes of The Good Wife he's in too. Incidentally I love him in that.
He was great in AIA better in fact than I'd hoped!
Being a Matthew Broderick fan I've accidentally seen Lane a lot on stage over the years...

I was watching an old episode of Ab Fab last night and he appeared in it as a German shop owner with Miranda Hart as his assistant.

I know this is an unanswerable question, but do you think that if today he gets nominated for a Tony he will fly to New York for the cerimony, missing a couple of performances of AiA? Because, unlike the Oliviers, it's a very important award and I don't recall any nominated actor missing in the last few years.

I expect if he goes back he will probably do what Bradley Cooper did a couple of years ago and fly out Sunday, return on Monday for that performance. The time difference really helps on occasions like this. I remember being concerned that Mr Cooper would miss the Saturday performances as I was going on that day. He looked unreasonably good at the ceremony thus proving Hollywood stars are truly better than us as after an 8 hour flight I am usually fit only for collapsing. Of course Mr Lane already has two shiny trophies, isn't really in the running this year for a win (I don't think) and has been snubbed on many previous years for a nomination so may not even bother to go.

I saw him on The Producers and for sheer star power he takes some beating. He knows his audience and how to work his sthick, even when phoning it in. He's the gay Ethel Merman and gives you what you have paid for.

If anyone has come across the sitcom Difficult People, he does a delightful cameo in that as himself.

If anyone can find it there is a DVD release of filmed stage version of a Broadway play in which he performed called The Mn Who Came To Dinner.
I have a copy and it's very good.

Saw AiA last week and he was amazing, so brilliant and would be v surprised if he didnt go to Broadway with it. It made me feel old when i realised the last time i had seen him on stage was in NY in 1991 opposite George C Scott in "On Borrowed Time"☺

I mentioned George C. Scott to someone (not a kid) the other day and she'd never heard of him. Time flies.

I mentioned George C. Scott to someone (not a kid) the other day and she'd never heard of him. Time flies. Thats sad especially if as you say she wasnt a kid! He was a brilliant actor and as well as films he did a lot of stage work and even the play wasnt the greatest i feel lucky to have seen him live 😊
