I have booked to see this in Paris in July. I have seen a few clips and can tell they are French because of their outrageous accents (thanks Monty Python). I know it is acted in French but sung in English, is there anything else I need to know about the production or venue?

I have the cast recording and unfortunately it's pretty atrocious. That's all I know of the production Have fun though!

I think the cast recording is okay! I can't wait to see Frenchmen playing these parts, but I will have to wait until Nice in spring 2018. As for the Casino de Paris, it's a nice old theatre and rather small. They had very strict security there when I saw Timeo in December - bag check and someone went over my body with one of those hand-held metal detectors. Not sure if they still do this or if it was a producer's thing. The other theatres I visited didn't have this kind of security. But plan to not arrive in the last minute. And if you're in a Parisian theatre for the first time - remember, the ushers get a pourboire (tip) for leading you to your seat

I was prepared with a tip the first time (Lion King) but there was no opportunity to give it and nobody else seemed to be either. Also saw Beauty and the Beast and Cats (for which my seat was pointed out by laser pen). I'll have one handy just in case. I'm prepared for security, part of modern life

Interesting. Maybe the Mogador (Stage Entertainment) doesn't do the tip thing as they are foreign producers and also expect a lot of tourists for their shows who are unfamiliar with the custom, dunno. Never saw their copy cat shows in Paris as they have them in Germany too. At the Casino de Paris they most definitely wanted a tip. There were signs at the entrance "please wait here to be seated and remember the tip for the ushers" Same at Le Palace, though I think I slipped their attention in the huge Palais des Congres and managed to get to my seat alone. Enjoy and let me know how the French version is! I had initially planned to see it, but then went in December instead to catch Notre Dame de Paris. Now I've booked for the tour when it stops in Nice next spring and combine it with a few days vacation on the Cote d'Azur!
