Also I love how they give us a break before Marisha comes back on...give everyone a chance to emotionally recover!

I mean, how can they have Rachel and Marisha back to back, do they want me to die?!

I find Marisha a little bit frantic in her delivery, I have to say.

I find Marisha a little bit frantic in her delivery, I have to say. having seen and listened to both Marisha and Amber, I do think you have to see Marisha live to really appreciate her performance. Amber is the stronger vocalist without a doubt, but Marisha acts through her singing so much more, and that comes across a lot better in the room. I totally get what you mean about how she sounds on the radio though! In terms of audience reaction on the night, it was Marisha who got the full standing ovation which went on for a good view minutes. That said, Tucker was still my fave

Of the night, thus far (though there isn't much coming up I expect will take over!), Rachel was my favourite, but Marisha isn't far behind at all!
But I agree, she is in a league of her own watching her in the show, listening on the radio, it was obvious to me she was very much acting through the song like she does in the show. And watching her develop through the show to that moment is pretty stellar!

But props to Marisha, she does have a great voice. Tucker has stolen this show for me so far.

That is absolutely fair enough - Amber is phenomenal, I was physically shaking by the end of AAITY when I saw her, a rarity for me!

I still don't understand how Trevor wasn't nominated for the Olivier when Ben Hunter and Andrew Langtree got in (whilst I liked Girls and LOVED Groundhog!)

I mean, it was overall just an incredible show! My thoughts:
Phenomenal: Hold Me in Your Heart I Am Changing Defying Gravity And I Am Telling You
Amazing: Gethsemane On My Own Bring Him Home Friend Like Me
Great: Everything’s Coming Up Roses The Amazing Mr Toad Oh What a Circus Circle of Life New York, New York Evermore Don’t Cry For Me Argentina As Long As He Needs Me Teachers Pet Tell Me It’s Not True I Am What I Am
Meh: The Wedding Singer Thank You For The Music Food Glorious Food
Bye Felicia: Rhythm of Life
... I'm sorry, but that performance of Rhythm of Life by the students was awful, the sound was terrible, you couldn't understand a word they were saying! Great orchestrations though!

Just a thought theatre, with this being a public forum, is it worth taking down the link and DM-ing it to people on request? I don't know how radio copyright works, but I wouldn't want you to run into any issues That said, thank you so much for sharing with us all!

Is anybody going tonight? I went last year and it was one of my theatrical highlights of the year. Sadly can't make it this time as I'm not living in London anymore.
Hosts Ruthie Henshall and John Owen Jones will be joined by leading cast members from shows including Phantom of the Opera, Cilla The Musical, School of Rock, Motown The Musical, Wicked, Bat Out of Hell, the stunning King and I, Little Shop of Horrors and a special performance of This Is Me from the smash hit movie musical The Greatest Showman
Magic Radio has also announced that Company, Dreamgirls, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, MAMMA MIA! The Musical, Chicago, Disney’s The Lion King & Disney’s Aladdin will all take part, as well as performances from West End giants Louise Dearman & Laura Tebutt.
