Curiosity often gets the better of me and as I've been following the 'How was your day?' thread, it's struck again. Please tell me what you all do job/career/study/time-wise! And yes I NEED to know, otherwise I might just burst. I'll start-I work for the Police, risk analysis and research (snooze). Over to you... A bizzie!! I didn't do it and I have an alibi Mmm...but why would you even NEED an alibi if you didn't do it, eh eh 🤥 ??!!! |

I was a (not so) civil servant for 38 years before early retirement 3 years ago. I'm lucky enough to receive a decent pension, so, like Honoured Guest, I'm economically inactive.
Now I am a (very critical) critic of culture, transport, hotels and restaurants. I go to the theatre, travel and eat out a lot.

Impressed with the variety of jobs on here - theatre lovers come from all walks of life! Particularly jealous of Phantom of London as the London Underground is my other great obsession (a few years ago I decided I wanted to visit every single tube station and even had a blog about it...)

Ah that is sweet, no need to be envious - I haven't even visited every tube station and I have worked on it for 22 years. I own several fishing boats and have a Canning Factory.
When we can find some babysitters we love to visit a big city and go see shows. Though I sometimes enjoy them most on my own.

Have done FoH and dressing and also turn herding on Charity Gigs in the past!
Out of theatre, I've done lots of office work and bar work.
I'm also a Mum of 2!

I am also a civil servant. Only meant to be a stop gap job but been 14 years now.
I dream of leaving but also fear the outside world so will probably be here until I retire, well that's if they let us they keep sneaking that retirement age up!!
