Curiosity often gets the better of me and as I've been following the 'How was your day?' thread, it's struck again.
Please tell me what you all do job/career/study/time-wise! And yes I NEED to know, otherwise I might just burst. I'll start-I work for the Police, risk analysis and research (snooze).
Over to you...

I'm a credit controller which is even less exciting in real life than it is when you read it in text (or 'parasite' as Al Murray put it when he asked me what I do for a living)

I work in homeless hostels, mainly with those with alcohol/drug dependencies. It's fun apart from when they die or tell u u raped them in a past life. Out of work I pretend to write plays (I write them then my crippling self doubt/functioning alcoholism throttles my creativity so I burn them) or spend my life on a theatre forum that feeds into my personal hatred. When I'm feeling good I like to drink martinis and pretend to be female

I'm a writer and translator for English and Dutch (into German). Where writer sounds much more grandiose than it is, it's mostly web content and SEO stuff for various commercial enterprises. The future Nobel prize winning Great Dramatic Novel remains half-written on my laptop.

I'm a permanent temp. I know that should be a contradiction in terms but I've been temping for the same company for over 9 years so it's the best description I can come up with.

One of my jobs is running social media and website for one of the British organisations in Moscow. The second one is the same for ine of the theatre shows (Although they stopped paying so maybe that does't count anymore). Job number 3 and 4 are website updates for one MT director abd choreografer and number 5 is writing articles for the online shopping website And sometimes I just sleep. Very rarely though.

I'm a cat-herder... that is, working on a transformation programme for a company where the need for change is mostly viewed with varying degrees of extreme suspicion (isn't it always?).
