By the sound of things they have made a number of changes to the show. Good to see that they are listening to the feedback.

False alarm. No ice castle. That's a picture of a piece that shows the frozen kingdom. I repeat. No ice castle.

I am not sure if it works for frozen, But as a general rule Frozen on Broadway the more people you have the more buying power you have. Does your kid go to school? does she have friends ? talk to those parents and get a free quote from Disney. To see what they charge the group. Disney like most musicals will have a group purchase email If you like the quote then buy. If you do not then walk
but talking about musicals in general
If this belongs in general chat sorry :-( or in broadway :-( but I am talking really general

Just booked a ticket for my New York trip in early September. So looking forward to it, but it's still six months... hopefully I can avoid most spoilers till then - and the temptation of listening to the cast recording, which is already pre-ordered.

I thought the video was weird. It starts off as a pop song that could be a good standalone song, then we get this "Broadway" back up chorus out of nowhere that makes it so weird out of the stage context.

False alarm. No ice castle. That's a picture of a piece that shows the frozen kingdom. I repeat. No ice castle. First preview last night and you are correct. No Ice Castle - just a projection. So many mixed reports about this and they obviously didn’t make enough changes from Denver apart from cutting the narrator. I’m a wreck....

I kinda don't get the obsession with the Ice Castle if im honest? Sure - if they found some amazing and innovative way of building one, id be interested to see that, but its Michael Grandage. We knew this wasn't going to be an innovative staging. Its a story about 2 sisters, and their relationship - if he manages to capture that, im happy, I mean no one watches Frozen the movie and comes away just raving about the castle? Plus its broadway, we know its gonna look expensive AF and have some neat tricks, with or without a castle.

Plus its broadway, we know its gonna look expensive AF and have some neat tricks, with or without a castle. Let it Go is probably one of the most iconic songs that has reached billions of people young to old this generation. In the animation she famously stamps her foot on the bridge she just built and the castle rises with her newly found powers from the snowy mountain. The theme park version uses the glittery bridge idea and it works pretty well, Broadway in my opinion. Needed a step up. Instead they have a glitter curtain. EPIC FAIL. In all the hydraulics and theatre magic and wonderful stage scenery I have seen in the past 20/30 years of seeing theatre and they come up with her waving hands, projections and a CURTAIN?!

Now I want to see a small-scale production that intentionally plays up the fact that the magical special effects are unachievable and deliberately uses cheesily unconvincing ones. I was joking! (A glitter curtain? Really? She might as well just get the ice tray out of a fridge.)
