david I’ve just looked again and The Drifters’s Girl one came through this morning. You should still be able to book as long as you log in first though.

ATG seem to be slow at announcing their slate of 2023 West End shows, don't they?
We're into November now and nothing listed yet from start of February for Ambassadors, Duke of Yorks, Pinter. Nothing announced for the Phoenix from March and if it was a big musical, surely we'd be hearing something by now?
Nimax and DMT have everything announced now, I think.

Just to provide a positive counter experience. I just called and took option 2 for Customer Services. I was answered immediately after the recorded message telling me there might be a long wait. A very pleasant lady dealt with my request to swap the dates of a show quickly and efficiently.
Either I am an outlier, or ATG are improving things.

Another voice to add to mkb ’s post. I’ve certainly found the response time for phone calls has been greatly improved. No more hanging on the phone for long periods and with great customer service to sort out stuff out with my account and ticket purchases. Despite the previous issues with dealing with ATG, I’m all for giving praise where it’s due. It’s definitely a marked improvement from previous dealings with the company.

Really surprised that ATG don't seem to be offering any Black Friday deals on membership itself but been searching for days in vain. I thought that at least there'd be something like 15 months for the price of 12. I cancelled my membership during the pandemic as I wasn't getting any benefit and never received emails from any of the theatres I was supposedly signed up with, but now I am tempted by a few productions and thinking it might be worth trying again. Ironically I have now started to receive emails from multiple ATG venues.

A very pleasant lady dealt with my request to swap the dates of a show quickly and efficiently. Either I am an outlier, or ATG are improving things. I spoke too soon. I bought what appeared to be front-row seats for "Mother Goose" at the Duke of York's on Tuesday for £77.50 each but with a "Limited view". The following day, the producers added two additional rows in front, so that I would no longer be on the front row, and at much lower prices. I asked ATG to re-accommodate me on the new front row. They said they could, but I would still have to pay £77.50 for them. Apparently the free exchange with Theatrecard membership will not refund differences in price. ATG spoke to the venue, and the line from both is that it's not their fault, it's the producers' fault, and therefore I have to lump it.

Apparently so! One of the advantages of front row is that although you'll be looking up, at least you don't have anyone's head to peer over, so not happy at the very late seating plan change. You'd think that two days before the first show was safe enough for the plan to be final.

Something I find really bizarre with ATG is that when you swap tickets to another performance, it has to be the same price or higher. I tried to swap a seat for one that was less than I've already paid and they refused - why? They'd be in profit because they'd have my original money and be able to resell the original seat.

I think I've had a refund of the difference before, but it was when the change was involuntary, i.e. they'd cancelled a show.

ATG are looking for two new CRM Executives. According to the job ad, they already have a specialised team, which I'm sure will be news to many TB members. The recruits will "be building omni-channel CRM campaigns and automated customer journeys using industry-leading, sophisticated CRM software." I would have applied...but I don't know what any of that means, and the salary is quite low for London. www.theticketingbusiness.com/jobs/crm-executive-ambassador-theatre-group-uk/

Why is it that management consultants and marketing people can never write in jargon-free, plain English?
Where I work -- a software company -- we get emails describing to our customers a new software product, and I, supposedly an expert, have no idea from the description what the software is for and what it does.
When you speak to customers, they all complain about the unintelligibility of marketing communications, but the situation only ever gets worse.
I wonder if there is some course people go on to learn how to write as impenetrably as possible.

Anyone signed to the membership card still getting advance emails for the new shows and the presale period beforehand
Had notification for the odd show like the lion king but otherwise any info about new shows comes after the tickets launch when it's normally open to all by then
Thankfully this board gives info and upcoming shows so can look out for the shows but annoying as it's one of the perks you are paying for is no longer running. Thanks to those who do post early info on shows tours schedules on this forum
I get other emails from ATG so it's not blocking or sending to spam and full email preferences are on.

Yes, I seem to have the same issue myself.

Just had a look myself. I still get presale emails, the most recent one was on Tuesday, but that was for a touring thing. There’s a few others but the last one people on here are most likely to have had was on 31st January for the Streetcar transfer.
Their system is hopeless. I know from reading on here that I get emails for the Liverpool Empire that David doesn’t. I also get sent brochures for Bristol Hippodrome, but I’ve never been to Bristol.

A quick update - For whatever reason, I am now starting to get email notifications again from Liverpool which I am happy with. Unfortunately, I'm now also getting them from every UK ATG venue along with any postal advertising. It really is a feast or famine situation with their comms. Also, has anyone been to one of the ATG Theatrecard member preshow events? I've got a free ticket for one for "The Bodyguard" tour. With free drinks, snacks, programme and icecream on offer, it doesn't seem a bad deal.

I have contacted ATG today using their chat facility, like many I no longer get any pre-sale notification emails. The chat was responded to very quickly and my issue is being passed to the media department who will sort things out. Hopefully this will be the end of my problems.
