Will Cam Mac allow it? As far as I know he owns the UK rights and has his own production that he'd probably want to remount one day. I wouldn't rule it out and it's possible he could be involved in any transfer.

Okay I had my doubts...But Lauren Ambrose sounds GOOD. I'm very pleasantly surprised. This cast recording will be great.

A lot of this looks great. I just hate the way the video is mixed. The sound is awful. It sounds like the orchestra is made of a trumpet, a violin and cymbal, where in reality it's a huge orchestra. I was also hoping to hear them SING.
Otherwise I look forward to seeing it in June!

Excited to have a new cast recording of this show but I *really* hope the accents are OK.

I see a lot of whinging over the approach taken by the production on our American equivalents, similar things for the Carousel revival too.

The ending sounds a great idea to me and hardly revolutionary. The lack of age difference also seems to have annoyed some plus the faction who are ranting about political correctness in everything.

As someone who has seen the show, I thought I would chime in to say that I have no whinging to do about the ending. It might not have been exactly the way I would have staged the ending had I been directing the show, but I thought it was a perfectly valid interpretation.
What I would like to whinge about is the OTT staging of "Get Me to to the Church on Time", complete with can-can "girls". Just so we're clear, I have no objection per se to men in drag dancing the can can -- in the right circumstances, I find it quite enjoyable -- I'm just not sure they belong in "Get Me to the Church on Time".

Can-Can girls in ‘Get me to the church on time’?. Seriously? That is SO wrong and funny for all the wrong reasons. Whatever next? Some strippers in the wedding scene in Fiddler on the Roof ?

Can-Can girls in ‘Get me to the church on time’?. Seriously? You can see the can-can girls in "Get Me to the Church on Time" very briefly at the 13-second mark, and again at the 24-second mark, of this TV commercial for My Fair Lady:

This was utterly fantastic. I had a dumb ass grin on my face throughout the first act, and was in tears by the time she cracks it and gets "the rain in Spain..." Lauren and Harry are sensational. I was cheering for Katrina Link for the Tony, but they might as well just hand it over to Lauren. Her singing is marvelous, although it could use a bit more amplification and a boost. I Could Have Danced All Night was so delightful. Harry is splendid as well, and is heart breaking in Act 2. The set is magnificent, and I've never seen an interior as splendid as John Napier's Norma Desmond's mansion.

I really hope this follows other Lincoln Center Productions like South Pacific and The King and I and transfer to London.

Harry H-P is similarly impressive. He isn't just doing a Rex Harrison impression - which many have done in the role. He is able to hold a tune with some nice tone. But he is also acts it very distinctively. I think this is one to add to the collection

Australian Producers take not this is how a revival should sound. Lauren Ambrose sounds beyond terrific.
