Anyone know whatever happened to her? Has she retired?
(was re-listening to the Original Cast Recording of "The Fix" today which reminded me of her)
Admittedly there aren't many roles for women of a certain age in musical theatre, but she seemed to disappear after Sunset Boulevard in 2009. A pity because I thought she was immensely talented.

I agree. I have seen her several times- including The Fix at the Donmar which had a great cast- and she was stunning! She was on EP's radio show a few years back talking about Anything Goes and reminiscing about playing the role of Evita. I remember being surprised when I found out she was Mrs Peter Purves too!

She was at Chichester in 2010 in 42nd Street, but it turns out she's REALLY difficult to google, largely because of the author of the same name.

Going back many years, Kathryn was also a fabulous Lottie in Mack and Mabel and a wonderful Rose in Aspects of Love. Always a pleasure to see her work.

She replaced Cyd Charisse as the diva in 'Charlie Girl' when it toured thirty years ago. I was disappointed at the time but Kathryn was excellent.
Also agree about 'The Fix' at the Donmar which was terrific.

I think you may be getting your Manchester Opera House performances mixed up. Doreen Wells played the Cyd Charisse part in Charlie Girl - and Kathryn Evans played the title role in Evita at the same theatre (with a very young Ria Jones as her alternate). Evans had just closed the London production. I think Charlie Girl (1987) followed Evita (1986) in the Opera House.
