I do know that the seating config in the main house varies according to production but nowhere can I find any info about views for the current layout, other than comments above. Has anyone sat in the circle, please, and if so, how was it? Most of the action takes place in the middle pit and at the and at four equal small stage sections ('corners' if circles had corners) around it. Depending on which part of the circle you sit in, you might miss a bit of the action on the section below you but most of it all moves back into the middle section so it won't be for long. View from the front row of the circle is probably better. If you sit in the back row you won't really see the planetarium effects and will possibly miss more of the action.

Thank you, Ryan. the theatre's own site says returns only but I found tix online so was wondering about booking belatedly.

Way too long. Otherwise I liked it. The back row of the circle was a bit of a pain with the planetarium. You could always see what was going on up there but it was a very poor view of it. I had no trouble seeing all the action as I was on a diagonal corner, with a block of audience below me where no action could take place.

Also useful to know, andrew - thank you, too. The back row of the circle was indeed where tix were available and in view of the length I was opting for the matinee but am still havering. Much longer and the decision will be made for me anyway!

You only get theatre this
Patronising
And dumb
In the public arts sector
Like being forced fed A lecture
By mouth
An IV line
And enema
At the same time
Totally unbearable
All exacerbated by the most affected and annoying central performance I can recall for a long time
Never been so happy to leave
Having a Hakkasan to erase the memory

Just watching
Brendan Cowell
Leaping about
Endlessly
Shouting all his lines
Is so wearing
Couldn't bear it after first 5 mins
There is so little acting in this
Mainly People
Yelling
Or reciting
Or declaiming forth
At you
It was so awful I thought I was back at the RSC For
Some Moments

It's the kind of staging
And acting
And direction
Done to try and please a mass market

I thought it was a bit meh to be honest. I wasn't particularly offended by it but I was checking my watch a lot during it waiting for it to end.

Maybe you should have sat in the centre?

I really enjoyed it too. There were bits which cold have been trimmed, but I enjoyed it, and I'd watch it again.
I found Galileo's astronaut t shirt online, and I'm really tempted to buy one.

Parsley is right, this was pony (please excuse my term of phrase but it's a Saturday night and it's been a long one) - the soundtrack was the only plus point but I'm not bothered about having a copy.

Parsley is right, this was pony Horses for courses, I suppose - me and my friends are of the old rave / crusty hedges-not-fences Glastonbury generation (I've even made a few carnival puppets in my time) so we loved it.
