I have to say that even though this only closed recently, school groups will go mad for it. It’s an option on the English GCSE and is a common choice for drama students to study, at this time of year it’s pretty smart to have it running even if it is coincidental I do wonder how it'll fare because the Piccadilly has a lot more seats compared to the Gielgud but it likely won't matter since it's a limited run anyway.

Does anyone know if it is the tour or London production going in? (I seem to remember a couple of extra effects on the London version)

This is a great play, I saw it twice in London and planning to see it in Madrid next month. Glad it's returning to the West End!

Does anyone know if it is the tour or London production going in? (I seem to remember a couple of extra effects on the London version) I went to see this last night. I saw the original West End run and was surprised how different it was. I think it has lost a lot. The train/tube journey didn't feel as well choreographed to show the rising sensory overload and, my favourite bit, the mother watching him asleep and touching him saying "this is the only time I can touch him" was totally missing and, in my opinion, she came across as much less sympathetic - leaving because she loves him so much she cannot cope. Enjoyable but not as strong as the last version I saw.

I know some parts are shared on the London run and tour. Does anyone know if there is a schedule? I know it is never guaranteed but I am sure to go more than once so would like to see different people if possible.

Does anyone know if they’re still doing the prime number seats on tour? Thought that was quite a fun idea when I heard about it!

It must have been a bit different at today's matinee, with children who had been taken by their parents because it is half term, sitting amongst school parties who were there because it isn't yet half term. It will all balance out, I suppose.
Leeds isn't too far, York a little further, but Whitby must be a six hour round trip by charabanc...even without any fallen trees!
