Builder now harassing me and family Tried to intimidate my sister in the street Buzzed my intercom for 45 mins And then verbally abused my neighbour Police called etc Feel sick and would rather my flat burnt down than endure this misery OMG you poor thing. Did the police calm things down? Look, you don't have to give us all the details if you don't want to, but feel free to update us and we can chuck the sympathy over.

Shall update you It is nice to vent and reflect in fact Main priority is to get the work completed So have to get new quotes all over again Fortunately have found a few plumbers willing to take on an unfinished job After begging and pleading and outlining what a sh*t time I had been through

Sorry to hear about what you and your family are going through, Parsley, and hope you manage to resolve it satisfactorily. It sounds as though you are well rid of the original contractors and have found others who will do a better job. Extra difficult to have to retrieve a situation not of your making, too.

It's that Tuesday-that-feels-like-Monday feeling today. After such a brilliant but emotional weekend I'm finding the crash back at work hard (especially after leaving on a fairly grim note last week)
More Coffee!

I always find in situations like that red wine more beneficial than coffeee ! ( at work though may be difficult )

I'm sure nobody will notice if I sneak a cheeky glass of red with my lunch...

Just got word that there will be no Writers strike this year - the WGA and the producers have reached a contract agreement. Show biz breathes a sigh of relief. Now what do I do with the rather smart strike-wear wardrobe I splurged on in order to look prosperous and successful amongst my comrades on the anticipated picket line?

I guess that's good news for you mallardo, sorry you're not going to be able to show off your new clothes. I'm not saying that I wasn't hoping for an abrupt end to work. The call sheet for today said "WGA update: production will continue as normal... You will be advised if anything changes" guess nothing is changing.

Took a day off from my usual volunteering and went for another good long walk, making the most of the bluebells while they're still here. Not a drop of the forecast rain, which I had expected to curtail my walk. Killed two birds with one stone by going via my garage (which is a very long way from my home - best part of an hour's drive) for a small errand.
Service chap asked me "Did you walk here?" (No, I always go out in big muddy boots and carrying a hefty rucksack.) When I said yes, his response was "You're mad!" Actually I thought I was multi-tasking, and rather successfully, too, but at least he provided refreshing proof that some businesses don't subscribe to any nonsense about the customer always being right.

Fun with Google Translate A number of places have discovered the fun that can be had with Google Translate if you feed it nonsense. Given any sort of input it must provide some sort of output, and the output it provides is considerably stranger than you'd expect. There's a weird sort of poetry in it. Here's what it generates given the sequence of Georgian letters თე repeated a number of times: The Tette Tetris Tetris with you Tetris with the same thing We are like you Let's do this with you We are like you We do the same for you Let's do this for you We like to do this with you We like to do the same with the Tetritsk We like to do this We do it Tetri Tetrying Weed Translation and definition "weed", translation memory Under construction Underwear Dildo, hentai porn
I could waste hours doing this. And I have.

Tapped car behind me while parking....o dear ...a brand new £38, 000 car as the owner was quick to tell me. Couldn't see a thing. She was abrasive and ready for an argument. Let's hope her common sense kicks in.

Tapped car behind me while parking.. It's actually called 'parking by ear' and we all do it all the time in Spain...

I nearly took off my own wing mirror this morning- narrow streets, idiots on the other side...the bang sure woke me up though. If it helps, I've also driven into my own house wall before, you know the one I have to drive next to every day...

So hacked off with work. Last week I pointed out something that looked to me like a potential problem only to be told by two people no, its fine, go ahead. 4pm today, turns out it is a problem & quite a significant one. Why didn't they think it through last week when I raised it? I'm only a temp & have to do as I'm told so for God's sake stop telling me to do something then suddenly change your mind so I'm then doing something wrong through no fault of my own.

^I'm not nearly important enough to have any exclusive information like that. Possibly fortunately for the company!
