I wouldn't mind 'Blood Brothers' going back on tour, even though the most recent one wasn't that long ago. But if it were to tour again, I'd love it to make a West End return, even if limited. As for 'Betty Blue Eyes', I'd like to check it out if it did tour again, or have a limited London return. 'Love Never Dies' is supposed to be touring next year and I want to see if they've made any more changes to the show. My only experience with this show is the 2012 Australian filmed recording. Blood Brothers is planned to go back on tour sometime in the new year (early spring). Just awaiting on dates

Suspect it'll be a long while until we see LND on the road. Phantom's tour getting canned and LND's indefinite postponement don't look good for a run anytime soon. It'll be safe bets and every willing Z-list Celeb will be crow-barred into shows to try get people back out their houses next year.

I second a Young Frankenstein tour, loved it in the West End, and Betty Blue Eyes as I missed it.
RENT is a musical I've been meaning to see for a while but never have. Wonder if the Hope Mill version will tour? Same with Guys and Dolls.
Also would like to see the NT/Disney Pinocchio as I missed that too. I know it's more of a "play with songs" and lots of people thought it needed work but I watched the again film recently and would love to see how they did it on stage.
And can I make my usual request for Groundhog Day? Still think either a UK tour or another run at the Old Vic would be great if it doesn't make it to the West End.

As has been said, would really like a Young Frankenstein tour. I know it was in the pipeline, but cancelled.
Same with Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. Big show, but would really like to see it again. That was meant to tour a few years ago as well. Holding out hope!

Sadly I can see a tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory being the scaled down, revised version from Broadway that was touring the US and Australia before the pandemic and having negative reviews, rather than the huge Drury Lane one (which while wasn't bad and a visual spectacle, felt like the material could've been better - though that could be because the original is a classic, but also a flawed story to adapt to stage).

Charlie needs a reworked score if they're going to bring it back. Visually stunning but barely a decent song in it!

If Charlie were to make a comeback, I'd be a bit weary on which version it would be. Would it be the original West End version, or the god awful Broadway version?

Same, I can also see it being scaled down. It was a huge production at Drury Lane, so props to them for making good use of the theatre. If it were to be the Broadway production that comes on tour, will it even be worth it? Absolutely diabolical.

The score really wasn't anything to write home about, but wasn't at the forefront of the show as you say. Was stunning. Although, Simply Second Nature, Must Be Believed To Be Seen & the Rerprise of it I find spine-tingling. Listen to Douglas singing that Reprise on the soundtrack is just magical.

Young Frankenstein was a brilliant show. Got to catch it just before it closed. Everyone was promised a tour, but I heard that the 9 to 5 tour took over instead. Shame. Hopefully it'd be the West End version, or a scaled-down version at best. Broadway version was absolutely god awful. Trash!

A UK tour of Gypsy is long overdue. I really regret getting the chance to see it in the West End.

I'm surprised Charlie and the Chocolate Factory hasn't toured yet. If it was to keep the London set or something similar then they would probably do longer runs at the venues like Matilda. As long as it isn't that terrible terrible USA version they did 2 years ago. All the kids, other than Charlie, were grown adults!
I'd love to see Fun Home again and for it to play near me in Scotland but it will never happen *a man can wish*
Tours I'd love to happen are Memphis, Groundhog Day and Billy Elliot again.

Apologies to bring another "play with music" in to this, but there is talk of the Old Vic's A Christmas Carol returning to Broadway next year and doing a US tour with stops in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. I'd love to see a tour be done over here as it looked like it transferred well into a pros arch theatre on Broadway last season.

Yeah, if Charlie were to tour, would hope it would be the same UK production. When I saw the Matilda tour, only noticed a few very small differences. Would be nice if Charlie were to be the same. Broadway version diabolical!

Re-watching some parts of The Crown lately and it got me thinking about Stephen Ward as I never saw it on the West End. I'd like to see that if it toured or a regional theatre took it on. The last I heard about it Lloyd Webber was revising or workshopping it at the Other Palace.

I think that & Juliet would kill it on tour once people knew where the music was from and I think that the Grease tour will be huge given the recognition factor.

Is a Jerry Springer: The Opera tour wishful thinking?

Is a Jerry Springer: The Opera tour wishful thinking? I'd personally love to see this show make a comeback, but I kind of feel that it's unlikely. The simple reason why is because Jerry Springer isn't as popular/marketable as it used to be. At the time 'Jerry Springer: The Opera' originally opened, 'The Jerry Springer Show' was one of the most talked about/controversial shows airing on TV. It was essentially a pop culture phenomenon. If it did ever made a comeback now, I personally don't think it would make a huge impact as it did before. This is basically one of the reasons why 'I Can't Sing!' flopped, it opened at a time when 'X Factor' wasn't as big as it used to be. Of course I could be wrong. I'll admit, I don't know if Jerry Springer is that relevant nowadays (as it is still airing I believe), but I would say it's past it "glory days".

The Hope Mill in Manchester did a revival last year and that had mixed, but some good reviews saying it is still relevant in the age of Trump and TV reality stars in the US. Though I'd rather to see it as the original National Theatre production or at least on the full operatic scale unlike the subsequent fringe versions as it originally worked as an opera piece to clash the high culture with the low. Although with more accessibility to the theatre these days (pre-COVID...and hopefully post too!) that clash probably isn't as shocking these days with other musicals like Avenue Q and The Book of Mormon. But as I say, wishful thinking.

I agree there are so many well known songs in it, I’m so glad it was the last west end show I saw before theatres closed. It would also be the perfect Christmas show in Cardiff at the Wales Millenium Centre. I can see this one doing a months worth or two months even, sit downs in theatres :-)

I would love a tour of 'Mame' - saw it in Salisbury with Tracie Bennett and Harriet Thorpe and the words that sprang to mind as I was leaving the theatre were joyous and delightful, something I think everyone could do with right now (apparently that production doesn't have West End rights so would have to be a tour)

Tracie was fabulous in it but I think it would need a bigger name than hers to sustain a full tour.

The plan was always for Pretty Woman to have a limited run in the west end (if you call a year a limit run 🤣) and then head out on tour. I imagine it'll be fairly quick once we are back up and running that it'll get out
