Actual shivers down my spine with this one. They are so far ahead of the other two bands.

Drive have been given the easiest staging - and still managed to have some pitchy moments (particularly from the normally reliable Matt)

Bloody awful.
And what's with the blond lad's excessive out breath after each sentence or word?
They need to go home now.

3 votes from me for Five to Five - it would be wrong for anyone else to win.

It's better than when he has it slicked back.

A really dreadful arrangement - rushed, choppy with the two soloists out of time. Boe can only over-sing. I really have no idea why he is popular.

What's with all the cheering mid song. Have these people never been to the theatre? Shut up and listen.

Well that's the acting dilemma solved I had wondered about. The story is about 5 16 year old girls and the boys/the band will be singing and dancing along to their thoughts and story.... Something of the sort lol

Now hearing the concept of the show, it is clear why they haven't done an acting test - they will just be performing as a band not really part of the story.

All this talk of 8 shows a week - barring illness and holidays of course! I suspect that boys will be quietly picked from Nightfall and Drive to standby/understudy/swing.

Something of the sort lol Yeah, I thought I misheard but apparently it's true. Very strange approach. So the actual characters won't be singing and the singers won't be acting? Yes I think that's what it is. The storyline and the acting will be done by 5 girls playing 16 year olds and then their thoughts and feelings will be sung and danced by the boys who have just been cast through this show, in the form of Take That songs. So expect high pitched screaming by all the middle-aged Take That fans during the guys singing and then most people wont pay attention to the storyline lol I shouldn't judge, I think ill get a cheap ticket to see if it works, although it doesn't come near me until July 2018! Agreeing with others, I imagine there will be at least 2-4 of the guys picked from the show to be understudies. I remember in I'd Do Anything (when they cast Nancy in Oliver), about 3 of the girls still got roles in the show and all the other young boys who were going for the role Oliver got offered parts in the child ensemble

Very predictable but the most likely band won. I hope some of the others do well too, whether in The Band in some capacity, or in other shows. I assume the Take That performance was pre recorded, before Robbie W decided not to appear as a judge? I know Ball & Boe was, as I saw an audience appeal. I found Peter Kay quite amusing, especially "is Lee Meade still in Casualty? Play your cards right lads, in three years, you could be in Holby City!"

With a lot of these shows it is probably better NOT to win. One Direction and Susan Boyle spring to mind as does Jessie Buckley who did not win the I'd Do Anything Nancy search but has forged a successful acting career. TV exposure is valuable as no doubt agents are watching the show and will sign up guys who they think can work and put them forward for roles.
The "right" band won but felt a little sorry for them in that I felt it was like applying for a job that you had no idea what it even was or what it entailed. I (and I assume them) did not even know it was a touring show to start with and rather assumed it was going straight into the West End - perhaps after a tryout somewhere.
As I have said before the chances of seeing all 5 guys at one performance will be slight, given injuries and holidays - 5 x 4 weeks holiday is 20 weeks straight off where they will not all perform together and one even hurt himself during the show!
