Word up sisters
I am broke but PayPal have generously given me credit. Great I thought I can buy Hamilton and AoA tickets, unfortunately the credit won't go as far as tickets. But I can get those theatre tokens on eBay but bugger sandwich they don't work online
So, does anyone know any vouchers I can buy on eBay (I'm fine paying full whack it's just eBay I know I can deffo pay with my PayPal credit)?
Any help would be great

Hi,
If you have got SOLT theatre tokens then the theatre groups themselves will take the vouchers over the phone.
You said about wanting to see Hamilton, well with that going into the Victoria Palace, this is owned by Delfont Mackintosh so when booking opens soon, ring them up and you can book that way. Just be aware they will probably charge a £2.75 per ticket booking fee. Also tip for you when you ring them, tell them before you make the booking you have theatre tokens and scratch off the panel that says void if removed as this will speed up the process.
I use SOLT tokens all the time as I get 10% extra free - so one or 2 shows free when I order £500 worth of tokens!
Hope this helps!

I book all my tickets over the phone as I get the access rate for all the shows and find most of the staff really helpful.

I have used them over the phone too. Start the booking procedure online so that you can tell them the seats you've got your eye on, they will usually sort it out for you.

Has anyone tried getting tickets for a show when it's first gone on sale? Is it just the engaged tone for hours or do people not ring anymore and it's a piece of piss?

I just wish that Amazon gift vouchers could be used at Amazon tickets. Ho hum.

I know Delmac's "hotline" has simply given everyone the "cold shoulder" at peak times, by saying "try later" then cutting off. Ticketmaster cards can be used online, as can most other agencies. Is that both of the 020 numbers for Del Mac Mr Monkey? I'm just thinking for Hamilton access bookings in over a weeks time will be fun for me!

I'm honestly curious how they'll handle captioned and signed performances of Hamilton considering the density and speed of the lyrics.
I wish there was a way to use theatre tokens online though, i.e. scratch the code open yourself and enter it. I just can't call theatres for phone bookings, both due to it being pricey from abroad and hearing problems. I've been sitting on a stack of tokens for ages and only use them when I queue for dayseats from time to time.
I've used Access myself from time to time because captioned performances are infinitely helpful for me and people have invariably been friendly and helpful at the box offices. It's ironic though when they offer access tickets for the deaf and hearing-impaired but require you to book by phone. Although they've let me book by email after I agreed that I accept the risk of transmitting my credit card details by email.

Well, at least you found a use for them. Must be a really high stack for you to be able to sit on them while in the day seat line - and I admire your dragging them all the way from Germany each time . Right on. Good thing there's no baggage restriction on the Eurostar The perils of (briefly) dating a loaded Londoner. I had about £300 worth of tokens, after two years I'm down to £200... good thing they don't expire. And yes I know that Stagetext does an awesome job with the captions and I love the sheer existance of them (none such luck in Germany), but in Hamilton the lyrics will fly by so fast, who can read them? I mean, even when I watched the Cumberbatch Hamlet with captions, the text was so dense, I could barely read it all AND process it AND watch what was happening on stage.

Hi sorry another question and please forgive me if I'm being really dumb but if I buy theatre tokens and say only use £18 out of a £20 voucher how does that work?

Wales Millennium Centre used to charge a booking fee if you paid with theatre tokens. Now they don't accept payment by theatre tokens.
