I was all like, yeah I can do that, I'm going to West End Live anyway. Then I realised I'm in Manchester. Grrrr.

Last time I did WEL I was in the queue from before 9am. Perfectly happy to start later though!

Okay here's what I'm thinking (happy for other suggestions)
So if gates open at 10.30 personally I don't want to get there much before 9.30...so I may suggest meeting for breakfast 8.30 for those that want to, to then head down to Trafalgar Square for 9.30/10 latest.
In terms of breakfast locations, there's a Wetherspoons on Leicester Square which is probably the best balance of cheap vs easy to find vs edibility.
Please feel free to make other plans - if people don't fancy breakfast or are travelling down from xyz place a bit later on, or want to queue super early to be at the front, you do you! I just figured that it may be difficult to find each other once we're in, so a breakfast point gives us a chance to pre-meet. It could equally be subbed for a coffee shop or just a "let's meet at the tube and go straight to WEL", as people wish.
Thoughts?

Just a thought and might be ridiculously impractical but is there a spot inside the event that you could maybe pre-plan to be near through the day, so that T-Boarders arriving at different times could head for that spot and have a good chance of finding someone?
Also use this thread for live updates as to who's around and where etc?

Sounds like a good idea, if we can - pre-planning a spot might be hard, but hopefully we can message each other about where we are during the day. How long does WEL go on? Might people fancy going for a drink afterwards if it doesn't go into the evening?

Can we not persuade/bribe/drug someone into wearing a bear/rabbit/evil clown onesie so that people know in which direction to head?

I was throwing that idea out into the open, not volunteering- I was picturing someone like Parsley in a Ronald McDonald suit leading us all into the Golden Circle.

We can maybe sort some kind of flag or balloon or something to make a meeting point apparent but it's whether that WEL would allow such a thing in and obviously it would have to go to the first person/group that enter the event.

Aaagh working nights that weekend. Maybe if I'm feeling ridiculous I'll hop on a train and come down for breakfast/dinner before going home to sleep but it seems unlikely.

Just picking up on that point, there are always lots of stands at this event. (Maybe) We could meet outside a designated stand at a certain time(s).

That seems a good idea. But the offer still stand that if something is required from TheatreBoard to support this meet up or recognise each other then do let us know and we will look into it.

Thats really helpful so if the Admin team will just dress up as Frank N Furter and Kinky Boots, then we'll all have a real good time.

I guess people will want to move around and get the best viewing spots but there could be an arrangement to meet at the xyz stand at say 1200, 1400, and 1600 for an hour? Then people can come and go as they wish?

I would have gone but my sister's over for the weekend and we're seeing Cursed Child (again, she's obsessed) on the Saturday. We are going to try to fit WEL in somewhere, especially because she's never seen Rachel Tucker live.

Looking at the west end live website just now & "La Cage aux Folles" has been added to the list of shows appearing.
