Come on guys, the 1 Year Anniversary is looming... our New Years Resolution, as a collective, is to make this happen before 2017 is out! Some of us have met on individual occasions and made friends through this, its time to bring everyone together and celebrate this big, lovable, dysfunctional family we have created. ... once the trains are sorted out though!

You know I don't live in the UK, but if I happen to be in London when you meet up, count me in! Having met you in person before, you were one of the people I thought of. We will have to give plenty of notice for it happening so if any of our International friends do want to come over, they have the time to sort things out, work a theatre holiday around it etc haha.

I don't do bigger meetings, but I'd be happy to meet any of you lovely people individually at some point. If you feel like hanging out with an old lady

People always used to try and organise this on the other forum and it never happened....... I think getting a large group of people together will b impossible. I for one cannot do weekends as that's when I work so if you want me to come it will have to be during the week, however that's going to cancel out the majority of people whom don't live within an hour of London. Unless of course we meet in Manchester? Shall we meet in Manchester then? On a Tuesday?

We did have a forum meet up years ago...I met Matthew and Peggs and John from The Reviews Hub (then The Public Reviews!) and it was great...we basically picked a performance of a show at The National (Mrs Affleck....not a great success) and just arranged to meet in a pub beforehand. Nice and low key and not too stressy as you have a show to go to! I ended up reviewing for years for John and Peggs is now a best friend (the best ones always like theatre!) So....we could have a few....just name a cheap production and a pub to meet up at before and everyone buys their own ticket (or just comes to the pub if they don't fancy it!) and we could do evening meet up midweek....and matinee at weekend for those travelling from further. Hard cheese if you can't make it, no moaning...perhaps can make the next date!

Great think about meeting people from this forum you definitely have one thing in common.
Met both the original poster and second poster on this thread together earlier this year, which was awesome, perhaps we need to set our coordinates again for another Caffe Nero?

I'm not very vocal on the board but follow it very closely. I'd be down for meeting up

I'll tentatively say yes, but the trains are making me dubious about saying I'll be anywhere for certain (I have to travel from Croydon to get into central London)

Simpy schedule the meetup on board of the 468 service. Problem solved (just for the record: I've been on this bus)

I would certainly be up for it.
As this kind of thing is often quite hard to organise, I suggest that a couple of people just decide on a date/time/place they want to meet, and tell everyone else what they're doing, and people can come along if they can.

Yes, all that's required is for someone sensible and interested to just have a little think and then suggest a place and time. If they've overlooked something, such as a planned transport strike or UKIP rally, then I'm sure someone will pipe right up and tweak the progonal suggestion.

Can we please have a meet up next week (or better a week after next?) I am in London January 5-14 and I would love to meet you all! I already know a few people from the board and it is always a great pleasure to discuss theatres and actors and everything Would also be really glad to meet for a coffee or pretheatre drinks if you are around some of the west end and offwestend theatres these days

A Monday night pub social followed by a trip to Kinky Kabaret at Freedom bar at 11..? Dude, Monday night is 'school night' and people have responsibilities to factor in; kids, travel, feeling knackered at work the next day. BTW, welcome to the board ukpuppetboy

Thanks Anthony - though if we go ruling out school nights we'd be left with the carnage of hen parties and the weekend suburban invasion! I used to brave a late night for David Bedella's monthly gigs at The Alley Cat and struggle through Fridays on set :-) Granted I don't have the kids to worry about.... Hope it happens. Sounds like it would be a lot more fun than the BWW crowd.
