I didn’t see the tour - but didn’t Darius take over as Nick on tour part way through? So it will at least be the two Savoy leads? I know that’s not the same as full cast...
And I saw Sheridan pre and post - there was almost something more wonderful about it post. You could see how much it all meant to her even more.

Darius alternated the role of Nick throughout the tour with Chris Peluso. Alot of dates had Natasha and Darius, and Sheridan and Chris paired, but as the tour went on Darius and Sheridan did more shows together and completed the run in Manchester together. So presumably, this filming will have Sheridan and Darius. |

Chris Peluso only lasted the first few weeks of the tour if I remember correctly. Don’t think the reason he was no longer with it ever became public knowledge,

He was only really functional in the role at best. I can imagine Darius being great and wish we’d had him in Bristol. He has that ‘salesman’ vibe to him that Arnstein needs. Chris Peluso did not have this.

I was certainly no fan of Darius before the tour but he was wonderful in this show. Perfect casting.

Chris Peluso did not have this. Totally. When Darius made his first appearance in that evening suit there was an audible gasp/ooh! from the audience. This did not happen with Chris Peluso who was a very inadequate replacement as far as I was concerned. We lost Joel Montague from the tour too, which was a shame. |

Booked for the cinema for next Wednesday - after much dithering I decided on Harrow, a local for me. I saw the filmed "Company" there and the sound was out of sync, very distracting ... I may ditch that ticket and look elsewhere, but it hadn't sold many and I'm a b*tch about people in cinemas generally with phones and the like.

There was an American production that was filmed, I don't know how widely it was distributed to UK cinemas though.

Yes, the American one with Jon Cryer & Neil Patrick Harris (quick google, 2011) ... It came across really well on the big screen but I couldn't watch the faces, had to watch the shirts as the visual of mouths opening and different words coming out was hurting my brain ..

Has there been any mention of whether or not they will release a DVD/Blu ray of this at some point? Really hope so as it's not playing at any theatres in my area.

I think it's expensive, compared to what I paid to see this in the theatre (and even compared with films), but that's the going rate.

Its a Tenner in Harrow, double that at the Barbican.
Actually, just checked and although I paid a tenner when I booked mid-September, the seats are now £20 and there's another showing at 19.45. Dammit, I was hoping for a quiet cinema!

£17.25 at my local Odeon. Not sure whether to go...the last time I went to see one of these the sound was really muffled and I didn't enjoy it, but I would like to see this show one more time! Decisions, decisions!

I was planning to see this but can't, anyway I noticed on the poster there's a skyarts symbol , so maybe it will be shown on there if no DVD is released. Hope this is helpful to people .

The running time, according to my local cinema, is 164 minutes (2h, 44m) total. Was it this long in London?! That seems really long, I don't remember it being that long in London?
