How weird. It clearly says on the FAQs: "If you have a Mastercard you can take advantage of priority booking from 10am on Friday 25 November"... I can't get logged in via Priceless at all (or link above).

Hmm, well maybe it isn't working now. It was certainly letting me select tickets to some shows at 6am this morning. Not that I went through all the way to actually buy them as I was just interested at what the choices were.

Whee, I tweeted them and they fixed the Kinky Boots link. Ticket choice is utterly underwhelming though.

Most of these shows you can get cheaper at Tkts, so I reckon I'll hang on and buy there instead next year! Vaguely tempted by the £30 Dresser seats, but for another £2.50 at Tkts I could get a much better stalls seat...

Possibly! I was distinctly underwhelmed by Row P for Kinky Boots which they offered me at 10am before locusts had a chance to be through. Will rather try for front row day seats some time.

I did get Row A in the Dress Circle of the Coliseum for Giselle though, which I think is pretty perfect for a ballet. After more than 20 years of musicals and drama in London this is my first chance to see a ballet in London, so I'm excited. I quite love classical ballet but it's another thing impossible to enjoy in Germany and I usually feel that I can't add even MORE to my slate during London trips (same reason why I still haven't set foot into the ROH).

Comedy About A Bank Robbery for me, haven't seen it since early previews.

I've found myself with at least 4 sets of tickets for stuff in the past, not so much this year. Was looking at Half A Sixpence but seats offered seem pretty far back and not that cheap. I'll hold out I think.

For plays, Glass Menagerie or one of the RSC / Chichester Shakespeares

I sat front row from GILT last year and it's a brilliant place to sit. Such a low stage makes it perfect viewing.

I got a few tickets on MasterCard priority last year, but got the best deals (including 4 tickets to Matilda on a Friday night) once the public booking opened in December. I agree, the few shows I've looked at so far haven't had great seats. I got Row D/E of the dress circle for Les Mis a couple of years ago; this year it's Row J for the same price.

Depends the age of the family (how young is the youngest?).

I haven't seen Lion King in the West End but the tour show didn't make me want to run out and buy tickets to see it again immediately. It is pretty much the film on stage with a few extra songs. The spectacle of the costumes is good, but unless you are sat in the stalls near an aisle I wouldn't bother personally. Of course it sells well and rarely has cheap tickets, so if GILT are offering front stalls seats for cheap then it's not a bad shout.

Aladdin I wasn't enamoured by. I wasn't that taken with the lead or Jasmine and felt the show only had oompf when Genie was on.

Play That Goes Wrong would be my pick of thr three listed as it remains the only show that actually made me cry with laughter. Peter Pan is good, but it will br on BBC over Xmas so not really necessary for a theatre outing if there are other things to watch.

Personally I think you should still try and see Comedy About A Bank Robbery before it closes though.

A thousand times this! What's the point of that? They've added a 'chat now' feature and I was strongly tempted to use it and ask them that same question!
