The new season launch announcement is due tomorrow but the list of productions available is on the website anyway: www.getintolondontheatre.co.uk/shows/For the first time in several years there's absolutely nothing I fancy but more plays/shows may be added and there are certainly things that some people here will want to see or have already enjoyed. Mastercard/Priceless London priority booking opens 25 November; public booking from 6 December.

Last year I used it to book tickets for Miss Saigon for my family and I as a Christmas present and it is a marvellous deal!! Would've used it but all the shows I want to see open in March when the offer is over (The Girls, Who's afraid of virginna Woolf, Stepping Out, 42nd Street etc)!!
Nothing I really fancy this year as seen everything in the list as it is!

Thanks for the reminder. Will probably book for The Children and This House.

I thought I might come across as negative for saying nothing on the list appealed to me, but the only show I was hoping to find included was The Girls, and as george22 points out, it opens too late. I already have comps for The Children and saw This House first time round, so will hope for more attractive additions in due course.

Gosh, there's surprisingly little I'm interested in, that I've not already seen or booked for. Possibly some of the dance stuff. Potted Panto looks fun.

I'd potentially be interested in the RSC Much Ado but I bet it's only Mon-Thurs & I'm not doing 3h of Shakespeare on a work night. In fact in the last few years all the shows I've been potentially interested in have been GILT Mon-Thurs only.

Already seen The Dresser, and I already have £10 tickets for The Children, Dead Funny and Once In A Lifetime, nothing else there interests me really. Ah well, maybe next year.

Been trying to find a show to book up as a Christmas present... can't find anything. Really want to do Stepping Out but it isn't on the GILT offer which is very annoying, last year I did Miss Saigon as the present.
Was looking at the 3 Mischief Theatre shows. For anybody who has seen all 3, what is the best one to visit??

For anybody who has seen all 3, what is the best one to visit?? I've seen minimal bits Peter Pan Goes Wrong when I went to watch the TV recording, but not actually seen the play live in the theatre yet, but have seen the other 2 twice each. If you're looking for a 'Goes Wrong' and an introduction to Mischief Theatre itself, I'd suggest starting at their original, The Play That Goes Wrong. You just can't beat it! Bank Robbery is a little different in that it's not a 'Goes Wrong' style, it's a 'normal' play, with all the typical farce and goings on you'd expect from the Mischief gang, but it's all part of the characters! The other thing is that Bank Robbery also currently has the original cast of Mischief Theatre in it, though no cast I've seen for any of them has been bad! And of course there's no guarantee for them all to be on at any given show, of course! Hope that helps a little - though maybe Dawnstar might be the go-to-poster about all things Mischief in my opnion!

I'd definitely, definitely go for one of the Goes Wrong plays. Classic.

The first was undoubtedly my favourite.

Hopefully Stepping Out will turn up there at some point, unless it really is pulling in the punters! I agree The Play That Goes Wrong is probably the best starting point for Mischief, but I'd also recommend catching the actual creators of all 3 shows, currently starring in Bank Robbery - the way they work together is wonderful. Tickets there are pretty cheap even without taking into account reductions at Tkts - they have some for £10 and £15, I think.

Hope that helps a little - though maybe Dawnstar might be the go-to-poster about all things Mischief in my opnion! Thanks for the compliment! Everyone else seems to have already covered it pretty well but for what it's worth. Ideally I'd say see the 3 shows in the order they were written. However given the current circumstances - PPGW only runs till 31st January & TCAABR original cast are due to finish at some as yet unfinalised time around the beginning of February - I think I'd prioritise those over TPTGW, whose current cast still have several months to go.

Bear in mind PPGW is on TV over Christmas so there's a chance the person you're buying for will have seen it.

Peter Pan Goes Wrong is my favourite, but it is going to be on TV, so stick with the original TPTGW.

Whilst I would say that The Play That Goes Wrong is the best of the three, as others have pointed out, The Comedy About A Bank Robbery has the original Mischief cast in. With all the deals available for Comedy I do also wonder how long it will last in the WE, whilst The Play is about to embark on a UK tour and will likely still be going strong in London.
So I would plump for Comedy as it's different and catch Play another time.

Is it me though or is there less choice of musicals this year?

Is it me though or is there less choice of musicals this year? The Dominion, Phoenix and Drury Lane will be dark since their current shows will have closed and The Book of Mormon, Dreamgirls and Aladdin aren't participating so it's not that surprising not to mention last year Sunny Afternoon was at the Pinter whereas it's Nice Fish, a play this year.

Generally some of us seem to feel that this year's offering is less appealing than in the past, though it's a matter of taste and there's always hope that new plays/shows will be added.
Certainly for me there's no big, stand-out musical (Dreamgirls, I wish!), but honestly, after no fewer than 3 fairly fraught new season booking sessions in a matter of days (Hampstead, the NT and the Orange Tree), I could do without the stress of a 4th.

Sales have started now.
The 10am refers to the general release. The Mastercard presale probably began at midnight.

How can you actually book? I'm on an endless loop on the priceless.com website that tells me to "book online" on a button on the right side but when I click it, I am taken back to the main Priceless offers site...

Are you logged in on priceless.com? I see a link to GILT on the main London page www.priceless.com/en-gb/london/best_of.html, which takes you to a GILT page on Priceless, click "Reserve Your Spot" and it takes you to the GILT site with booking open.

Yes I'm logged in. I don't see a "Reserve your spot" message on the GILT page on Priceless though, only "Book Online" and when I click that, it takes me back to the london/best_of.html page.
