Well after Glynis I don't think I could handle another Lear so soon. Up for a Fiddle though and I'm hoping it's the trilogy not just the one conquest Also, they did Lear in 2013 and 2005 so I think we could all do with a break. Rory Kinnear to play Norman, please.

Well if that's it for the season (though surely more to follow?), it's certainly a spoiler in that it has scotched my hopes of some appealing productions to look forward to this summer. Maybe the official announcement will bring better news.

Maybe the official announcement will bring better news. Agreed! Obviously will wait for thursdays official launch but those three shows dont exactly make you gasp. Much as i love a Lear! Maybe the Minerva will prove better.

If it is fiddler who do you think will play tevye? For some odd reason I feel it could be Michael ball and I don't know if that would work.

No Shakespeare at all, please - surfeit always readily available elsewhere. This is a very selfish attitude. Chichester Festival Theatre is primarily the sole large producing theatre in its region, and its primary duty is to provide theatre for its region.

I suspect the spoilers are true. At least it will save me some cash by not booking. Disappointing.
We only have to wait until tomorrow for the official announcement.

Round and Round the Garden? Really? I saw the UK tour last year which left me unimpressed
Maybe its better with the the other Norman Conquests, and if so I hope that Chichester is doing the entire trilogy

Gloucester - "I was blinded by the light...cut loose like a deuce, another runner in the night"

Said this several times on here and would love to see them do work by Paul Simon who seems to be a bit neglected recently, a well done revival could easily get a shot at the West and/or Broadway.
Would also be cool if they do Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party or Noel Coward's Design for Living.
In the Minerva Aspects of Love would work too.

When Emma Rice leaves Shakespeare's Globe and the Board switches the lights off in perpetuity, the first show of the brave new olde worlde at the Globe could be the Paul Simon jukebox musical Hello Darkness My Old Friend.

I'd give good money to see That would be a first for this forum. Usually, people here prefer to queue for hours in a blizzard and give pennies.

I'm too old for that now, I have a reasonable job and I never get enough sleep, so these days I'd rather pay a little more and give the dayseating a miss wherever possible.

PS: does anyone know when members' and public booking opens, please? I'm unable to look at The Stage's website as I've used up my free views for the month.
