Heading over from the States next week for a theatre trip. I've got one opening on Saturday night if you see anything missing from my schedule that you would consider "must see," be it theatre, dance, or music. I see tons of shows in NYC, so when visiting London I tend to focus on things that have not appeared here yet (or won't). I'm considering Not One of Those People at Royal Court simply because it sounds unique. Nov 2 (Wed) The Crucible-National Theatre; evening Nov 3 (Thurs) A Single Man-Park Theatre; matinee Tammy Faye-Almeida Theatre ; evening Nov 4 (Fri) Book of Mormon-Prince of Wales; matinee Blues for an Alabama Sky-National Theatre; evening Nov 5 (Sat) Cabaret-Kit Kat Club at The Playhouse; matinee TBA; evening Nov 6 (Sun) The Doctor-Duke of York’s; matinee My Son’s a Queer-Garrick Theatre; evening
Mormon is on the list just because I enjoy the show and haven't seen it in years.

Have you seen Life of Pi, @stevea? It began life at Sheffield's world-famous Crucible Theatre, don't you know. Loads of offers about.
Otherwise 5 November is Bonfire Night, so you may wish to find somewhere to experience this quaint British tradition. 🔥🎆

Not much comedy on your itinerary, @stevea . Suggestions:
The Play That Goes Wrong The Upstart Crow (absurd prices)
For opera and ballet/contemporary dance, The Royal Opera House has decent availability for La Boheme, and Sadler's Wells (not a poor seat anywhere) has a Carlos Acosta triple bill that night.

I've seen The Play that Goes Wrong and enjoyed it greatly.
Carlos Acosta would be great, but unless I'm just not finding the info, Sadler Wells is showing Birmingham Royal Ballet for next weekend.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. He's retired from dancing but is the Artistic Director / runs the BRB

I'm hoping to fit in Ikaria at Old Red Lion as I've seen some great reviews and we have a credit for Blackout Songs in Hampstead after having to travel on short notice so also hoping to head there this week.

One of those clairvoyance evenings is it, our david , at the Playhouse? Sadly not TallPaul (That event was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances). Instead, we get Jon Culshaw (Dead Ringers, The Impressions Show) who stars in this funny, affectionate and poignant celebration of the much-missed comedy legend.
