No news to report sadly, just wanted to make sure we had a Ramin thread :-)
I know he's currently in LA - does anyone know what his future plans are? Musicals, TV?
Oh, and here is the setlist from his Union Chapel gig, which RaiseItUp kindly posted on the old forum:
1. Till I Hear You Sing
2. Traveller's Eyes
3. On The Road to Find Out/Wild World
4. Driftwood
5. Broken
6. Letting The Last One Go
7. Constant Angel
8. State Lines (with Ashleigh Gray)
9. Bring Him Home (with Hadley Fraser)
10. We're All In This Together
11. Wings
12. Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin'
13. Do You Hear The People Sing?
14. Murder In The City
15. I Wish The Wars Were All Over
16. Will The Circle Be Unbroken
Encore
17. Losing
18. Wagon Wheel

What are the chances of him going back to Phantom for the 30th?

What are the chances of him going back to Phantom for the 30th? I would absolutely love it if he did as he was phenomenal at the 25th anniversary concert and is my favourite Phantom! He has said in interviews that he perhaps won't don the mask again but he may very well do it as a one-off concert such as this. We can only hope!

Gutted - my friend is getting married on that date. And it's the day before my birthday so it would have been the perfect birthday treat :'-(

Have just booked tickets for his gig at the Palladium. For anyone interested: Stalls (front 4 rows) with meet and greet £85, other stalls £62, Circle £51 and Upper Circle £34 (all including fees).

Yeah, I did the pre-sale thing too, got into work early, couldn't get the blooming thing to work, got called off to do blooming work (!), tried the link about an hour later and was offered Stalls Row II (what the heck is that, row I with hiccups?), then in frustration decided to go for the meet & greet as the link for those suddenly worked .. which I'm a bit urgh about as I'm more mutton than fan-girl and think I'll look decidedly like a nutbag amongst pretty young things.
But I'm going.

You won't be alone in looking out of place there - I got a ticket in the centre of row B before they labelled the first 4 rows as meet & greet (which I probably would have passed on if I'd known that's what they were).
But likewise, at least I'm going!

I doubt anyone will be forced to do the meet and greet. I had vip tickets at his Union Chapel gig simply because it was unreserved seating and those tickets included getting in early and so a good seat without having to queue in the cold for ages. He did meet people after the soundcheck and it was all very casual - you could join the line or you simply stayed in your seat. :-)

Good to know, I'm not really a meet and greet kind of girl :-)

Massive price hike for the Palladium in comparison to his 2 earlier gigs this year. Wonder if it will be that different. Think I'll keep my money and just reminisce about his previous shows.

I like Ramin, and I was swithering about going to this (despite not being keen on the bluegrass element), but those prices are just a bit too steep. Guess I'll just have to wait until he goes into a West End show again...

Why "must" there be a Ramin performer thread. You make one because you like him, but on the old board I do not remember his being active if there was one. Those prices for his Broadgrass is just wrong.

But there's no harm in having a Ramin performer thread either. No one is forced to look at it and those who like him can post news here and chat about what he's up to. :-)

I'm guessing there wasn't much discussion on the old site because he's been working abroad for quite a while. And while some lucky folks on here have the time and money to get to Broadway now and then to see shows, the majority probably don't. So now he's doing a few shows back in the UK, interest has picked up again.

Those prices for his Broadgrass is just wrong. Why shouldn't there be one? I'm not his biggest fan either and don't really enjoy the music he's making with his own band, but he's an acclaimed musical theatre artist, so, again, why shouldn't there be on? Also, take into account that the performers section in the old board was not very active. I'd be happy if we had threads about most famous(ish) actors/actresses, list what they are up to next, upcoming solo concerts and so on. If you're a fan of a certain actor or actress, you may of course start a new thread to discuss him/her. In fact, I might even start a Natalie Andreou appreciation thread.

Absolutely no objection to a Ramin thread. You misunderstand. It was the word "must". He is only doing one UK date as far as I can see, and has relocated to California in the US.

I feel you're maybe reading too much into word choice. As he has an upcoming concert I's say that it makes perfect sense that we 'must' have a thread of discussion. I wasn't really keen to go before but those prices have definitely put me off! Still, sounds like it'll be a great night for fans!

California is where I want to spend eternity. That said: Despite the focus of this board being London or UK, respectively, it's perfectly fine to also discuss other international (e.g. German or Broadway) shows or actors. So if you want to discuss the awesomeness that is Lindsay Mendez (even if she hasn't planned any UK concerts or shows), feel free to do so.

I hope he can get used to taking short showers and buying drought-resistant plants!

Is anyone else yet to receive their tickets for next Saturday? I'm now having to travel to London for work from Tuesday, so very concerned I'm not going to get them before I go!
