I'd love to see this (I genuinely loved the film as well) but I just wish it had someone other than Amanda Holden leading it.

Likewise Ryan. But given the casting, I'm far more likely to see it in London that having to haul myself all the way down to Chichester, so I *think* this is good news!

I think it sounds interesting - not to serious, but a fun and light evening. Unless of course I am completely unaware of something. I do agree that Amanda is the one doubt I have about this, but I'm prepared to give her the benefit of the doubt, I loved her in 'Wild at Heart', it'll be interesting for me to see how she fits in on stage.

Nice to see they are doing without premium seats, too. First "The Girls," now this... the start of a trend, I hope... First The Full Monty, wasn't it? All three of the same type so not really yet any wider trend?

I was going to see this in Richmond but not with Amanda Holden starring. I love the film and the rest of the cast look good but I'm just not a fan.

Running from March 1st through June 17th... now where does Britain's Got Talent fit into this? Has Amanda quit or heading to quit?

Love the film, really interested to see the play version, brilliant cast (imho), want to pay a little less than they're asking though, so will hold out for offers!

Yeah I presume she'll just take a week off, the live shows are all done in one week so it's only one week she'll miss. I love this cast! Really like Amanda Holden but also big fan of both Angela Griffin and Tamzin Outhwaite!! Sandra Marvin is also in this too, for people who didn't know.

I originally thought that too but then again it is always during the May half term holidays which is usually around end of May/start of June. Really hope i get get to see this. Don't usually see plays but I'm thrilled with the two that have been announced today and hope I get the chance to see both!

It's in Richmond in October so it would be easier and probably cheaper to see it there than in the West End

Just complete apathy! Sheridan Smith she aint! That's true. To be fair with Amanda, at least we know when she isn't going to turn up.

To the doubters, I have to say, you might be very pleasantly surprised by the performance of Miss Holden in this one.
Listen to the caveman!

I do think the cast for this show is very, very good. I think Amanda will surprise people who don't like her performing because she's got a bubbly personality that should fit this role well. Angela Griffin is also an amazingly actress and I really like Tamzin Outhwaite too!

I am sitting in the interval
A free outing
It's fine
But WHY revive such a dated play
Even cast to the hilt with well known and loved faces
Talk about polishing a turd
I do fear it will struggle in the WE
Despite selling very well on tour
I think the play itself will be misplaced in the WE
A more extensive tour would have been a better idea
Having said that the character acting is good
But it's all very Acorn Antiques and pantomime in the broadest sense of the term
Whilst regional audiences will like it
A more sophisticated and demanding crowd won't be fooled
I like it because there are so many actors I am so familiar with all on stage at the same time
But is that actually a good reason to enjoy something?
The comedy aspect is so lame I fear how it will stand up against the competition next year
