Call yourself a proper bunch of gays & you don't know Joe McFadden?!! He was in Cranford & Sex, Chips & Rock n'Roll on the BBC1. And She Loves Me & How to Succeed in Business... at Chichester. Torch Song Trilogy at the Menier. And he's a bottom.

Just announced on Sunday Brunch that co-presenter Simon Rimmer will be in Strictly this year. I've always had a bit of a crush on him. Look forward to seeing him shaking his hips.

(Finally) Someone that I instantly recognise.
I reckon once he gains his confidence, he'll be really great. Especially in the ballroom, given his height and stature. I can really see him in his tux with tails.

I hope he doesn't go too crazy with the fake tan. His skin tone as it is really suits him.

Didn't realise he was 54 years old as with the shaved head and obviously keeps himself in good shape he looks younger, I thought he was probably mid 40's. We now have 3 mid 50's contestants in Simon, Ruth and Richard. Ironically none under 30 announced yet so it will be interesting to see what age range of remaining ones are.
Simon is an established TV presence, has an outgoing personality, is in great shape for his age so could have a decent run on the show if he has any decent rhythm.

As with Tibidabo's aversion to Eamonn Holmes, I hope they don't focus on Tim Lovejoy much!

Oof! Joe McFadden from Holby. (no idea, but looks good!) Has done Rent and Chitty so some of you guys should know him? Oh THAT'S how I know his name (yes I was too lazy to google him haha) Anyway he's nice to look at and with a musical theatre background should be quite good. As for 'your man off the Sunday Kitchen Brunch thing' (I wasn't very awake this morning) I quite like the fella so I'm looking forward to him. And they should both rock a tux/tails nicely haha.

Not only haven't I heard of the above Tim person or of the person actually doing the show, but I haven't ever heard of the TV programme you're talking about either. But you all seem happy, so I'll go along with that and hope the husband isn't shown too much for d'James' sake. (If you're lucky he'll be sitting next to Eamonn so wouldn't get a look in anyway )

Programme not to be confused with actual 'Lovejoy' too, of course.

I always go for a quick whizz in the privacy of my own home but each to their own! Would I be correct in presuming that the date after your user name refers to the particular edition of the Beano annual you're currently reading?

Wasn't he in "Heartbeat" too? And in Take the High Road a million years ago. I say a million, but I used to watch when my kids were young and the youngest is now 33..........

I seem to be the opposite to everyone else in that I have heard of everyone except Simon Rimmer (I don't watch whatever programme it is he does) Not sure what that makes me!

Before today's (un)known besequined personality is divulged to us, I just wanted to say how much I am loving this thread. I love hearing who everybody likes/dislikes/loves/has an aversion to plus all the reactions to this year's 'celebs.' I don't even care that I seem to be the only one who loves Kevin (I think?) Thanks everyone. Edit: Richard Osman is on Loose Women today.....is there any chance...? That would be worth the licence fee alone. (He is very very very tall and has a crush on Oti.)

I would LOVE Richard Osman to do it. Oti is quite short though so not sure they'd work height-wise as a partnership (though no doubt they would be hilarious!)

My twitter feed had a tweet from Richard Osman directly below the one informing of the next Strictly announcement and I might have screamed rather loudly!
Sadly, that wasn't it.
The announcement was that the next reveal is on the Scott Mills Radio 1 show between 1 - 4PM.
