Not quite at the theatre but I'm standing outside the Duchess and definitely Marc Warren and possibly Bill Nighy have walked past.

Bill Nighy was indeed wandering around Drury Lane yesterday with a book in hand.

William H Macy in M&S just after seeing Threepenny Opera.

Where was Maria McErlane? (laughing raucously at the wrong moment, if there).

Apparently Elaine Paige and Alexander Hanson were at Bernadette Peters last Friday in London (I didn't see them though)

Not quite at the theatre but I swear I walked past Lee Mead in Stratford-upon-Avon this morning. If it wasn't him then he apparently has a twin!

Did the Stratford "Lee" have thick legs? If so, it was probably him... (When I saw his Christmas show last year, I was struck by how chunky his legs were. Quite at odds with the rest of him. He hates his own legs apparently, and hated showing them off in Joseph. He told us so during the concert, calling them "rugby players' legs".)

It certainly did. I spent the whole of the first act wondering if they were real (had we ever been shown his legs on Any Dream Will Do? Perhaps they kept them out of camera shot...?) I even commented to my partner at the interval, wondering if it was just the view from my seat (the most uncomfortably angled dress circle seats in the West End) but it was confirmed for me: he had Very Thick Legs. Then Lee mentioned them towards the end of act two, and I breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness for that. It was out in the open.

If ever I spot Lee's "twin", my eyes will go straight to The Legs before I start singing Close Ev'ry Door To Me and asking for an autograph. (That last bit's a joke; I would never ask for an autograph...)

Certainly not! I didn't like his thick legs (apologies as this wasn't clear in my previous posts)... I don't like anyone's thick legs. I like legs that are in proportion.

And for your information, I would have used a souvenir brochure if anything, NOT a programme...

Teehee! Yes, I watched that Graham Norton programme... And then didn't she say on Jonathan Ross' programme afterwards that she'd had ALW's lawyers onto her the next day?! (Only the Lord knows why...)

(When I say souvenir brochure, I mean open, you understand... )

Back to Sarah Brightman, who I adore... Do you think that's how she first found out she could hit that note at the end of the title song? 

I wonder how Burly's research has been going? I bet his little fingers have been busy all morning...

I will admit to doing a little research on your behalf earlier today, and yes, you come across a fair number of Lee's former fair lady with her lallies out. The actual pictures of the man in question do not reveal what you are hoping to find... But be not afeared, as there is one particular shot that show them up as fairly tree-trunky-type lallies that you find so appealing- it's a promotional shot for Any Dream Will Do, with him spinning around in his red coat. Get researching again. Homework in by 4pm.
