Can we just have a round of applause for Mr Cant and his seemingly endless run of play appearances this year...
Twelfth Night - Open Air Regent's Park - 3rd May - 8th June
Chariots of Fire - Sheffield Theatres - 6th July - 27th July
Pins and Needles - Kiln Theatre - 19th September - 26th October
The Importance of Being Earnest - National Theatre - 20th November - 25th January
Can't remember ever seeing such a run of continuous theatre work - he'll be knackered!!

I must admit I've never seen Richard on stage but he is clearly an in demand character actor. The RSC sometimes have people in two or more plays a season and they can be very heavy Shakespeare text.
Richard has a decent break at the moment but 4 plays in a year not in a rep season is still impressive.
I agree his father was a fantastic performer and brought joy to so many generations of children as well as being a good actor in many varied roles
