Theatre to be announced, Patrick Marber directing with Kieran Culkin as Ricky Roma, Bob Odenkirk as Shelly Levene and Bill Burr as Dave Moss.
I’ve seen productions of this in the last ten years or so with Pacino and Christian Slater so I think I’m done with this for the being but might be worth investigating for Culkin and Odenkirk (who I’m thinking is maybe a bit too young to play Levene without being made over)

Patrick Marber seems to be more directing these days which is interesting, don't he's done any playwriting for a while.

I’ve seen productions of this in the last ten years or so with Pacino and Christian Slater so I think I’m done with this for the being but might be worth investigating for Culkin and Odenkirk (who I’m thinking is maybe a bit too young to play Levene without being made over) I’ve now started on the final three episodes of Better Call Saul and I don’t know if that’s his natural hair style these days but he is looking a lot more viable as a Shelley Levene (as opposed to Pacino in the 2012 Broadway version whose dyed Keith Richards wannabe cut was just ‘wtf?’ 😝) |

Watching the final episodes of Better Call Saul now, and I’m thinking Bob Odenkirk is looking very much like he fit the role of Shelley Levene: thankfully they haven’t got him playing Ricky Roma (I’ve never watched Succession but am not sure if Kieran Culkin is a good fit for that though)
