I missed the previous one but people have been urging me to beg, borrow, or steal to see it. I have complicated feelings about the volunteer setup...

I was at a bit of a loss in 2014 so volunteered a number of nights in various roles ... (there's a signed non disclosure thing somewhere) ... free dinner and a bit of a laugh. Don't know anything about controversy with the volunteer thing. I've seen an email about something new but I'm not in London anymore.

Did ‘spectators’ have to sign an NDA or can someone give me even the vaguest idea of what this experience entailed? I have been trying to find out for nearly ten years…

I have done the experience twice, and I won't give any specifics, but essentially you are put in a series of different scenarios, where you are usually the lead character, and you have to respond to the situation around you. Some people will thrive on this, some people will loathe it. I'm in the former category, but I did learn some things about myself when put in an unfamiliar situation - sometimes I reacted in an unusual way and in a couple of situations I responded in a way that on reflection I perhaps wasn't very proud of, but there is a certain sense of this being an adult playground and perhaps giving you an opportunity to react safely in a way that you could not do if the scenario was real. I am sorry if I am being excessively oblique, but I do think it's one of those situations where you are best going in with very little awareness of what's coming up (although the twice I did it were entirely different, so a new show will probably provide an entirely new set of experiences.)

If a new show comes up I will certainly have a go at getting to do it again, it is a truly unique experience - oddly enough, Viola's Room by Punchdrunk is the most similar experience I can think of, although there is no jeopardy or improvisation in that - but the core experience of walking between rooms and experiences is superficially similar.

With regard to volunteering, after I did the first show I went back and volunteered for a couple of nights, because I wanted to see how things worked behind the scenes, and I got to sit in one scene and see a whole evening's worth of participants come through and react in very different ways. It was fascinating, but the experience needs tens of volunteers every night so my minor contribution was nothing to what is actually needed every night.

Ditto. If anyone has a "correct" answer to the final question, which in my case asked for my favourite late-Friday-afternoon drink, do please share.

I formatted my phone number for receiving SMS in the standard +44nnnnnnnnnn format, so I hope that's correct too. It didn't give an error message.

It's very frustrating especially with all the warnings that multiple entries will be invalidated. I've clicked through about ten times and no confirmation message.
