Nutbush isn't natural jive material, and given that Toyah struggled to stay on the beat with the tango, I'm not too optimistic about her jive capabilities. Since she's a musician I put it down to nerves on the first show, but she needs to improve dramatically to have a chance of making it to week three. Surely there are more imaginative waltzes in the classical repertoire for Wynne to dance to than The Blue Danube!

Toyah can be first out for me. I don’t like her or that Neil.

This week is really showing how much better it feels when they choose authentic music.

Ballas has had the lights taken off her during the dances so now she’s standing up during the judges comments. Seriously? This woman thinks she’s the star of the show. Cannot stand her.

Interesting comments from Anton about Shane. “Right now, I don’t want to know about YOU.”
Shane has an ego? Judging by what we have seen so far that’s very possible. He comes off as extremely cocky. In the Claudia interview he mentioned “all the people who love me”.
Ok.

I disagree regarding Shayne - when he said “people that love me” I just assumed he meant his family and friends, which is what most of the celebs tend to say at some point.
My favourite dances of the night were Montell and Johannes - a great partnership and the lovely elegance of Wynne and Katya.

Did anyone else think the moment Toya started crawling on her hands and knees over the table in her routine that, just for a second, she looked like Dolly Parton?
In all my life, I have never seen a ginger cowboy.

Given the major imbalance of male and female celebrities this year it's likely the producers are keen to ditch quite a few men early on, so that may explain the judges' questionable decision. They've deliberately lost what could've been one of the more interesting learning experiences, but they shoot themselves in the foot so often these days Strictly Gone Lame should be the title.

BBC investigation has found Giovanni did verbally bully Amanda Abbingdon but he’s cleared of physical abuse. BBC apologises to Abbington but her claims only partly upheld www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce81p7w6xggo

They've deliberately lost what could've been one of the more interesting learning experiences. Yes I thought he was terrified but, considering he is a total non dancer, there was the possibility of a half decent mover. We’ll never know now.

Oh a bit of Sondheim, must be a first for Strictly. Anton and Emma danced to Send in the Clowns but not sure there has been any other Sondheim.

What a ludicrous set of scores.
And the disconnect between comments and scores grows ever wider.
Poor music choices didn't help. And some of thr choreo was lacking. Jamie, in particular, needs a more experienced hand to get the best out of him. Michelle isn't the right choice for him.
Sarah and Vito made me tear up. That was a lovely tribute to watch.
I was bored by the Barbie rumba
And let's get shot of Merson and Willcox as soon as possible.

Why does Shirley have to bite back every single time Craig talks? It’s ridiculous.
It almost felt like Anton and Motsi have been asked to push Jamie, why are they mentioning him winning? He’s definitely not in the top 3.

They're definitely pushing the idea that Jamie is better than he actually is, and Shane too. I'd be really surprised if either of them make the final. Montell and JoJo were a disappointment this evening, One Night Only needed to have the disco beat stripped out of it to work as a tango. As it was it sounded really sluggish. Dr Punam stole the show with a bit of originality and great style. Less annoying than movie week usually is, but the could've given credit to the acrobat/dancer they brought in to do all the impressive work in the opening number.

Dr Punam was great because it felt connected to something compared to the vacuous emptiness of pretty much everything else. Craig referenced someone else doing a Bollywood dance in the past, as if every Bollywood dance & song were the same one. Just a bit of an ignorant auntie comment.

Maybe I'm easily pleased but in addition to both costumes and make-up, which were of course, were outstanding but I also loved the lighting and CGI effect- in particular Toya's Ursula tentacles, JB's Chocolate Factory and Pete's jungle theme with the elephant in the background.
I have no idea what the missing glitter ball sequence at the beginning was.
I didn't like the Minion dance sequence. Did anyone else seen the irony that the only ginger on the show was yellow?
Personally, I thought that Toya and Paul were the weakest.
